Been a while since I’ve checked in.

I’ve been stagnant in my weight for a long time, and the good news is that I have started to lose weight again in the past month. Down 5 pounds since xmas.

Unfortunately I suffered an injury in October in my elbow and its affected my ability to lift and workout. Just when it feels like it’s healed, it flares up again. It’s frustrating because I just want to function without pain.

I’ve been sober over a year and I’d say I lost 30 pounds. I’m hoping I’m not gonna gain it back but I always drink a lot of beer and I’m eating better and exercising more. I just turned 60in June of last year so I really need to be on top of that so I can stay healthy. All my friends have noticed the change in me. I no longer have that bloated look. It’s good to hear that so many people are getting healthy after quitting drinking

Still weightig myself everyday because that’s the routine I like, but letting go of the outcome. Got a macro nutrition advice and follow that trough MyFitnessPal. Had to raise my calorie intake as well.

Looking forward to get on that medical scale again to see if there is any progress :see_no_evil:
Doing mostly strenght training now (twice a week) and hope to add a third soon.
:weight_lifting_man: Work in progress!
But overall very pleased and greatfull I’m allowed to work out again

I’ve adhered to a strict 1,800 calorie/day diet and have been steadily losing weight again. 200lbs is my next goal but 190lbs would be awesome!

1 year ago, I was at my heaviest at about 240lbs. Progress, not perfection.

Been eating my feelings a lot lately. We got rid of all the snacks in the house, so im trying to get used to that. When I wfh I would go into the kitchen as a break. Now I have set up timed breaks where I try to stretch, do a chore, go outside, etc.

My main problem right now is that we are doing a very intense project at work, and they are feeding us 3 days a week. I really want to build up the mental fortitude to bring my own food and say no to the other stuff. But it’s so hard. Any advice would be great!

I sat down my phone and the next thing I know, I’m in the forum on this thread lol. Well, that is timely because I met with a nutritionist yesterday. Love those little God winks!

I’m not good with balance… shocking news coming from am alcoholic, I know!

My nutritionist has me doing less protein, more carbs, 1800 calories a day and keeping my sodium under the recommend 2300 grams to start and monitor my progress this month. I’ve also been doing yoga consistently for a month or so, so I’m continuing that and adding in some stair stepping & hula hooping for now.

This is day 2 on my diet and it feels good so far, yet odd having so much balance! I’m actually eating more during my meals as I am spreading my carbs and protein mindfully out over a full day. I’m not starving at the end of my day or eating dinner ar 4pm and that’s lovely.

You guys are brave sharing your numbers! I’m no where near that myself but I’m starting the next layer of balance in my life and I’m pretty freaking happy with that.

I’ve tried allllll the fad diets over the years (such as keto) and a while after I did 6 months of that, I found out my kidneys are in stage 2 failure. I still eat (or did) more protein and less carbs. I have never really eaten in a balanced way, so this is quite different. I waved my white flag as yet again I don’t know what’s best and I’m looking forward to this journey!
