I don’t know when I last posted here, I was very sick for a couple of months and ended up losing 20 lbs (from 155 to 135), but I looked pretty terrible. Once I started recovering (Aug/Sept) I had to remember all of the things my body has just been through and I want to treat it gentler. However I am now at my goal weight (which is the weight at which all my clothes fit normally!) and have been working out to try and add some of that muscle back that I lost. I’m still at 135 so I’m pretty solidly maintaining now. I feel good at this weight, it’s just easier to move about in the world! And I forgot how many cute clothes I had

I’m a little worried about my partner. We have been making incremental changes together, but he has not lost any weight and has been noticeably overweight for maybe a year now. He is really into lifting but as with most of us the food is the problem. I absolutely never say anything negative about it, but do try to encourage things like meal prep, bringing his lunch to work, and tracking what he eats - and he’s gotten more consistent about those things.

We both have pretty restrictive diets and I think that plays a role in it, there is just not a lot of variety so when there is something new and yummy that we can actually eat (or that we are willing to bear the cost of later) we go way overboard.

Hello everyone, its that time of week again…

81.8kg +900g or around 2lbs since last Monday.
Cant lose every week. Know where I went wonky. My wife sabotaged me. Fancy leaving 5 jam doughnuts hanging around, everybody knows they need to be devoured the same day  . Also the usual crisps and kitkats didnt help. Still cutting down each week on those.
Ate more for lunch today and drank more water.
Theres no getting away from it though I am now going to have to make more of an effort.
A big plus for me this week is being able to fasten my 34" waist work trousers instead of just using a belt and hiding it under my fleece.
@CanadianGirl was wondering how you would get around the big turkey dinner . Happy thanksgiving to my Canadian friends and everyone else who celebrates (i did with the doughnuts :doughnut: ) @Butterflymoonwoman love the yellow you too, blue last week yellow this, gotta be green next? :slightly_smiling_face:.
@andy01296 Well done on getting under the 100kg :+1:.
@Dazercat Eric, it was worth you putting a few lbs on just to see the meme :joy:.
@Jette well done on losing all that weight, that takes some doing  :+1:
@ErinTheSideOfCaution Hows the walking going? Has it made a difference?

Well done everyone, gainers, maintainers and of course losers. Like Eric says the main thing is we are sober another week.

The 15th was mid-month weigh in. I am down 6lb since Oct 1st. Ive already met my 5lb/month weight loss goal which is great. Now it comes down to keeping it off and continuing on with my weight loss goals.

I’m trying to stay at my current weight which I was my first long term goal weight. I’ve been in maintenance for about 2 months now but it’s gotten so boring I stopped tracking and that led to overeating. Gonna get back to entering the food for the whole day ahead of time.

Good afternoon everyone. Here we go again, drum roll please…

82kg.. Shoot!!!.. hmmm thats +200g on top of last weeks gain.
I think its safe to say that the honeymmon period of stopping drinking and weight loss has passed.
This week was the week where I had planned to exercise more. I started that this morning with a 6 mile hike with Alfie. Hoping for a really good week this week.
Also thinking about starting a food diary. If I see what I eat written down I may make better choices.
@Dazercat staying the same is good eric…a bit like a draw

Heres to a happy and successful weight loss week for everyone :+1:

Hey there champions. Im fearing the worst here but here goes anyway…

82kg!

Not only is that the same as last week, its surprising to say the least.
I had a week off work and we ate out or had takaway several times.
Out for a fantastic Sunday lunch + double helping of jam roly poly because I was courteous and praised the hard working waiting on staff.
Saturday we had an Indian takeaway as my son came over.
Friday was Chinese takeaway.
Thursday was …oh I made tomato soup and homemade bread, which needed lashings of butter.
Wednesday we had Pizza delivered.
So all that combined with my week away from work and still to maintain is really pleasing.

@Dazercat Look at you go Eric  :+1:

Ive started making my smoothies on a morning and taking those to work. Hope this has a positive effect.

Hope you all have a good week.

Goal 1: saving up for a bluetooth music boxing set to make myself sweat at home.

Goal 2: walk outside every day, even if it’s only for a couple minutes

Goal 3: weigh myself once a week and hit 235-240lbs before Januari (I’m 250lbs at the moment)

Those are attainable goals! Good luck

81.5kg this week thats down ½ a kilo or around a pound since last week.
I started exercising daily at home and these sessions will only get longer and more intense.
Idealy Id like to get to 75kg at the moment that seems a million miles away.
Will keep going though and keep improving.
Hope you all have a good week.

I weighed in Saturday at the hotel at 202.8lbs. And I was thinking must be the scale and the croissants and queso. But mostly the scale.

Home today and it’s definitely not the scale :grimacing: 203.2lbs

Back to focusing on my weight loss, drinking has definitely contributed to my weight gain and inability to be consistent. I’m back into my after work gym routine and trying to limit the sugar intake (the cravings since I have been sober are no joke!). Weighed in at 190.2 this morning, would love to be back in the 170s by Easter. I lose weight at a snails pace (thanks, menopause). Slow and steady will hopefully win this race!

Hopping on. It’s pretty exciting that most of threads on here are about bettering ourselves. I’m giving this one a try.
I’m the heaviest I’ve been in 20 years and rising. The giant piece of cake I at last night didn’t help. I’m not a big person so I feel my weight gain early and this has felt like a steady gain for a while. I’m also a 46 year old female so if I don’t turn this trend now these habits will become my new normal.
I downloaded a calorie tracker to help which reminded me of days past when I had a calorie tracker and ate to save room for whiskey. Madness. 10 shots of whiskey carries a caloric load that you just can’t eat around.
I’m happy to stick with food and coffee and water for this tracking round.

Current weight 160 lbs. Goal weight less chin wobble which feels like an easy (she says now) 150 or a hard fought 145. Let’s start strong and go for 145. No time limits just working toward a healthier trend.

Nothing to worry about, Eric. You’ve had a few days away, that’s all. It would be odd if you went away and lost weight. Plus, winter is on the horizon. Us mammals always put on a winter coat to get us through to spring.

Welcome Bird :bird:

Been there done that, with weight watchers. Saving up the points for booze by at the end of the afternoon.

Happy to see you aboard.

Thanks for the encouragement Col. I sure hope it’s not a trend. Like so many others I’ve always gained it back. Hopefully just a blip.
