Weightloss CHECK IN : dont give up 2

Ah, I remember those days! Or using Carb Manager because whisky and Diet Pepsi are low carb. The things we do to stay in our addictions!

Yup, I lived off of lettuce just so I could drink more and not gain weight :woman_facepalming:. Eventually I couldn’t be bothered and just drank whatever and stopped caring if I got fat. Now I’m Blown away with how much I can actually eat and still Lose weight :joy:

I still have 1100 calories of my 1900 daily to go through and I’m finishing lunch. It’s so much easier to be nice to your body when you practice.
First day of tracking and my night time snack monster might try to get me tonight, we’ll see. I won’t be wasting my calories on drinking. :flexed_biceps:t3:

Been working at this a while, just a snapshot.

Jan 2024 I quit hard liquor.

Jan 2025 I quit beer. I also went to rehab end of Jan 2025 and then had different stretches of sobriety since, including the current 114 days.

I mention this since some of the chart correlates to those events. Otherwise I’ve been back on the horse (mtb) and walking during the week. Making healthier food choices, low/no added sugar, low fat. Supplements including magnesium, daily multi, omega 3, occasional B complex.

Every time I drank was more or less the equivalent of eating 10 sandwiches, if not more. Blood pressure and cholesterol in the wrong direction. A1C not far behind. The time was then, and still is, to invest in myself.

Peak weight not pictured, but was 227 in Jan 2024. My goal is 185, ideal for me. I’m close, yet seems far. Hoping to navigate the holidays with smart choices. I don’t feel like I’ve sacrificed anything, gains in the right way feel amazing.

Today I weighed in on 247,14lbs

I forgot whether I went up or down this time but oh well. I bought a new booklet to keep track so I might as well mark this as a new point zero.

Stuck to my diet yesterday, drank plenty of water, got plenty of sleep, and didn’t snack after dinner. ODAAT.

I’m hoping that losing a few pounds through diet will make the ā€œgetting back into shape" part a little easier when I start that type of exercise in earnest.

This is the hardest part for me :grimacing:

I been doing grapes. It’s not much fun but it feels healthier. I do cherries during cherry season.

I worked hard this week. Didn’t think I worked that hard. I think just hiking and walking make a huge difference.

End of week check in. Calorie tracking is helping. I’m sticking with My Fitness Pal’s recommendation of 1900 calories per day and logging food is definitely helping me not shovel snacks into my mouth at night after work. Logging also has helped me eat breakfast everyday. It’s too soon to weigh but I’m feeling better about where I am and where I’m going.

I’m a tiny bit salty that I got my protein and calories drinks to fight rapid weight loss in mocha flavour. I despise anything coffee flavored. At least I also have banana drinks which when alternating sips makes it a lot more doable. Just a bit peeved but hey, at least I’ve been stable for a few weeks instead of the rapid ā€˜illness weightloss’

Currently at 169 lbs! Finally in the upper end of my target weight!!! Gonna try to get to more like 159lbs and then end the cut there! So far 25lbs down from my beginning weight of 194lbs!

Had a weight loss stall for a couple weeks and a rough couple of binge days last week that broke my almost 4 month long no added sugar streak. I will be 1 week sugar free again tomorrow and at least it hasn’t felt challenging to get back on track with it.

-0.6 lbs this morning

-20.4 lbs lost since July 13

Now I gotta seriously dial in my food tracking and moving a bit more to keep the scale moving .

Hello, weight loss superstars. No weigh-in for me this week as I’ve not been feeling that great and had two days where I never ate at all, so it wouldn’t be a true reading. I am on the mend and feeling better each day. My wife is booked in to start slimming world on Thursday so that will reflect in my diet too. Hope your all keeping well. I should have read your posts first. My apologies, I’ll read them now.

Calorie tracking has helped me eat breakfast every day and limit my nighttime couch snacks. Let’s go for week two. No weigh in yet.

What is slimming world?

I’ve been maintaining my short term goal weight (135) for a couple months now but still have some bad habits to curb. Right now trying to do no added sugar.

I am worried about my partner. This was supposed to be us losing weight together but he is still gaining. I try to avoid making him feel bad but rather tell him about my day or something I learned or one of the resources I use. It’s also not fair since I lost most of my weight through being sick. I think if he weighed his food and didn’t eat work food, it would help tremendously. I know he ultimately has to help himself but I feel like both of us could do better.

Hiya @Passerina_cyanea slimming world is a weight loss programme here in the UK based on healthy eating , exercise and group meetings.
Similar to weight watchers I think.
It is a great way to get all the good stuff into you . :slightly_smiling_face:

Good mornafterevenight, everyone!

I just stepped on the scale and it said 112.8kg.

I’m stagnating but I don’t feel bad about it because I have lost too much weight in the past few months and as long as I don’t keep gaining I am grateful.

198.6 lbs. I’ll take it as a win since it’s under 200.
