Checking in. It’s been awhile.
And I’m surprisingly doing really good.
I did weigh in for the first time in awhile Friday at 196.8
And I weighed in at 196.6. Today.
Remember guys loose weight easier. Well, at least that’s what they said at Weight Watchers back when I went there. I guess WW now.
Anyway I’m pretty surprised since I haven’t done more working out or walking since my back issues. And all the snow ice and cold. But I don’t snack during the day. Try to watch my portions and stick to my dark chocolate treats during the evening. And I continue to intermittent fast. No food til 1 pm. Not counting my fruit smoothie at 9:30 ish am.
FWIW @DMW , and all, I did Noom and loved it. Got my fifty pounds off and canceled my subscription last year. I can still use their weigh-in graph and log food if I feel I need to.
The only thing I feel I been doing differently is a lot more weight loss guided type meditations. Almost every every day after lunch. I got them on my Breethe App. I bet most meditation apps have them these days. Most times I end up taking a nap. Win win in my retired old ass world. Getting ready to do another one now.
Anyway. I thought I’d check in. Y’all keep up the great work.
Hey Eric! Great job on maintaining your weight! I really look forward to getting to that stage of the game so to speak. Granted I am going to keep enjoying the process as I chug alongon my weight loss though. It is truly about the journey and not all about the destination.
That is so cool you had great success with your weight loss with Noom. I’ve been interested in doing more meditations but I haven’t made it happen yet. I need to do it though. It has such a calming and centering affect when I have done it in the past. I’ve read a few Thich Nhat Hanh books and have found them to be very good.
So glad you checked in, it’s always great to hear an update from you!
Weigh in day for me.
I’m in my weight range.
I think I’m going to stick with that since I’m trying to maintain between 195 - 200. I did gain a bit but I know why and I don’t mind. I enjoyed some of the Christmas baking I froze and some other treats. I’m closer to 200 today but last week I was closer to 195. So I’m doing it!!
So I reckon all is good. And there aren’t anymore tempting macaroons or Congo bars.
I hope you all have a great weekend.
C’MON SPRING
I hear ya and I’m glad you are happy with maintaining your weight. I really do look forward to getting (and well, maintaining, LOL) to that point in my journey (I know I mention it a lot so please forgive me!) Right now I’m doing (for the month of March) 80-90 min M,Tu, Th, Fr. 85 min on W. 75 min on Sa. And 60 min on Su. I’m in the actively losing part of the journey, so when I reach my goal I most likely won’t be doing AS much per day, but enough to keep the weight permanently off! I will probably tweak my workouts and figure out another schedule for the month of Apr.
I have not been working out as much as I should I be close to none at all my diet has not been the healthiest I gained 3 pounds I was 184 now iam 187
December of last year I was 224 I still have victory by the throat and I’m not letting go of it my goal weight is. 145 pounds and I will make it happen today 21st of March iam jumping back on the horse
LETS GOOO!!
In your business it’s got to be pretty tough working out loosing weight while traveling all the time. Sometimes a good fast power walk can be so much better than nothing if there’s nothing else you can do.
I’ve really been enjoying those guided weight loss meditations. I think they help me. Maybe? Maybe not. Worse case I get a good relaxing 10 -20 minutes. See previous posts if you’re interested.
I hope you are doing well my trucking friend. Nice to see you popping in.
So, today was weigh in day for me and boy was it a shocker, in a good way! Today I was down 3.4 lbs in one week! Bringing my overall weight loss over the last 16 weeks to 21 lbs!! I weighed in at 130.8 lbs this morning!
Today’s weight at 16 weeks (3/21): 130.8 lbs.
Last week’s weight at 15 weeks (3/14): 134.2 lbs.
Weight at 14 weeks (3/7): 135.6 lbs.
Weight at 13 weeks (2/28): 137 lbs.
Weight at 12 weeks (2/21): 138.2 lbs.
Starting weight (11/30/20): 151.8 lbs.
I’m going to stay focused and determined as ever to keep on my current course of diet, hydration and exercise. I am feeling so much better! Our 17 year old daughter even commented when she came back to our house after being at her Dad’s (my ex) for the last month plus (Covid exposure scare and my ex and his wife are both fully vaccinated already and hubby and I aren’t yet) that I look a lot healthier and my belly is a LOT smaller. I sent her the pics of me and hubby that we took a few days ago that I shared on here for St. Patricks Day and she sent them to her boyfriend to show him how much Ive changed. He has only known me as a drinker, very bloated and whatnot and he was even surprised. Not to mention our neighbor. He too only knew me the same way and saw me yesterday and commented to hubby with how different and skinnier I am looking.
Anyway, I am going to keep my goal weight at 120 lbs for the time being and see how it feels and looks once I get there. I’m very excited and optimistic for the future and all the goodness and positiveness it may hold for sober me and my family.
Thanks to all of you as you’ve supported me through it all. You guys ROCK!
Edited to add: after sharing with our 17 year old my overall weightloss of 21 lbs so far, I took her into our workout room and had her pick up 1 20 lb dumbbell of hubby’s and 1 1 lb weight together, she was like that’s too heavy for me to lift, I told her to use 2 hands so she did it and I said that’s how much Ive lost so far and she looked at me with wide eyes and said, “that’s a lot!” It made me smile. But not only that seeing her actually being interesting in spending time with me and hubby (because we aren’t drunk or buzzed all the time and saying stupid shit) is so rewarding.
I am on day 29. I’ve lost 11 lbs. I too use my fitness pal along with a garmin instinct for tracking. I have been walking, cycling, and using my elliptical machine after dinner. I am 189 shooting for 175 and then maintaining. Starting a 3 day cleanse 2 marrow. Good luck to all. Lets get it done. One day at a time.
Definitely @Dazercat thank you for the kind words it really is tough being a truck driver and working out there’s barely anytime or any healthy options obstacles is what I see them as I have to work thru this and see what can work out for me yes I been doing power walks around my trailer definitely does help then just staying in waiting for my load keeps me active will do thank you
Ooh you have a Garmin?? Me too. I have a FR 235. I thought about getting an Instinct, but my FR works well, but I do walks and hikes on the treadmill and my FR does not do well with recording them. It’s good for biking and running indoor and out though. Do you cycle indoors or or outdoors? Just curious! Congrats too on your 11 lb loss in 29 days!! That’s fabulous!! Keep on going!
You are doing great! I know you can do this. I firmly believe in you and that you can achieve ANYTHING you set your mind to. Seriously dude. I really feel that way! I was actually just thinking about you and were hoping all was well. I hadn’t seen you posting much as of lately.
Awww thank you!! She is amazing… well, all 4 of our kids are of course, but she is the one we still share custody of and see the most of.
But thank you so much for all the support! It helps so much to know that I have people here that genuinely care in a lot of ways.
Wow!!! That is some amazing weightloss!!! I can just move around and bend over even just so much easier already. I can only imagine when I reach my goal(s). Literally so much weight has been lifted!
Day one on my journey to loosing 42 pounds
As iam currently 187 goalweight of 145
Lastnight was no bueno had a hotdog late at night at a truck stop with mayo ketchup etc 🤦:sob: anyways today Im going to fast the whole day up until dinner time to kinda cleanse my digestive system and then I’ll pick the healthiest option they have out here on the road as far as excersise goes its tough to make time none the less I will see how I work around my obstacles and get to my weight goal congrats to everyone hitting milestones and doing there thing
Checking in on weigh in day. I’m in my weight range again. So I’m pretty fucking happy about that. I think since I’ve come up with a healthy weight range and I’m able to stay in it it’s help my whole mind set. I keep weighing in Friday and Mondays before lunch and know where I stand before and after the weekend.
I’m going to enjoy my avocado mash on rye. With other salad type veggies. I’ll post on foodies thread.
Have a great sober healthy weight journey of a week.
Day 2 complete
Not my proudest days had a sprite and about 8 sweet habanero wings from wing stop that was my meal all day so I don’t think the calories really did anything if anything more good since I had protein fasted all day
Have not been able to workout you guys are doing amazing !!!
