Great job Winchester on your weight loss. Thatās some great work right there.
Itās here for me, weigh in day. So today I am down 1.4 lbs from last week bringing my weight to 135.6 lbs! Im VERY pleased to say the least. This was the end of week 14 of consistent workouts.
GOAL WEIGHT: 120lbs
Week 14 weight (Today): 135.6lbs
Week 13 weight (last week): 137lbs
Week 12 weight (2 weeks ago): 138.2lbs
Week 11 weight (Valentineās Day): 140.4lbs
Starting weight (Nov 29, 2020): 151.8lbs
Day 1 OF NO MORE ALCOHOL: Nov 19, 2020
I changed my workouts up this past week and was focusing on run + walk (30 min each 4 times last week) as my main focus followed by 30 min rides focusing on endurance speeds which turn out to be more low intensity verses higher. Plus core every day, upper body (arms and shoulders) toning (low weight, high reps) M,W, F and lower body (glutes) Tu & Th.
Iām going to remain focused and keep on going to achieve my weight loss goals. I still have a considerable amount to lose (all in the belly regionā¦ think muffin topā¦ EEK!) So, I still have a ways to go, but Iām WAAAAAY better off than I was 3 1/2 months ago!! Maybe Iāll be where Iām hoping to maintain and fine tune my body by my birthday in Augustā¦ but Iām not really setting myself a goal date as it just lines me up to to be bummed if I do that and donāt reach my goal.
Have a GREAT DAY ALL!!!
Edited to add: on Wed and Sat I also did 45 min harder rides and 20 min power type of walks. Today Iām not sure just yet what sort of ride and walk Iām going to do, but its going to be a good one either which way. Usually I do a 30 min fun/a bit more difficult ride and a 20 min walk, but if hubby decides to run and or row for longer I may ride for 45 or 60 mins instead. We shall see!
No loss this week but no gain either. I did not have much opportunity for long doggy walks and it clearly shows.
Diet is going well. Definitely loving the new WW+ program.
Hi everyone, great to see you all doing so well
Iām still trucking. Lost 1lb last week which I wasnt happy about so didnt bother posting
Little one is back at school today () so no more excuses! About to go on a big walk and then do some yoga when I get back. Weigh in on Thursday.
Lost 25lbs so farā¦ 17lbs to go
Past few weeks havenāt been the best but I didnt give up on my diet plan. I thought at least if everything else seems to be crap the one thing I CAN give to myself is this, working towards my goal and that feeling you get when doing something positive for yourself. Its really helped
Hello everyone
Congrats to everyone sticking to it on here. Weather your loosing weight or maintaining. Or even if youāve slipped up but youāre still here being accountable. I did a weigh in today and after a week on my back. And then a few days walking Iām pretty happy to report weighing in at 197.4. I thought for sure Iād break 200 with my back ache and having to be in bed a lot a little over a week ago. I didnāt want to check in or weigh in because I was depressed enough. I still want to loose 2 more pounds but if I maintain under 200 Iām good.
I hope you all have a great week.
Iāve lost eight pounds in 2 days, so now Iām quitting scratchcards.
Wow!!! Thatās awesome Eric!!! Wooohooo!! When that happens it is an awfully great feeling, isnāt it?!?! Happy for you!
Helllooo!! (Btw its jen/aka āpanthereyesā incase anyones wondering who the hell I am )
Lost 3lbs this week!!
So happy, Iām in the uk so we weigh people in āstonesā here () and by losing that 3lbs it has officially brought me down to a 2 stone loss so far
Itās funny how when losing weight you can try and try and not much seems to be happening but if you stick to it, it soon catches up!
Soooooā¦
28lbs lost so far
14lbs to go
Oh! Also 1 month and 22 days sober too
I wish I could say I feel great right now, I actually dont, not really. I had that vertigo āthingā thatās still sort of there, covid jab at the weekend which knocked me off my feet I was ill for days and Iām still not right keep getting headaches that painkillers arenāt taking awayā¦ very tired all the time too Iām not really sure whatās going on but I think Iām doing all that I should be so just going to ride it out.
The diet Iām doing is pretty intense but Iām eating well enough and comfortable with it now
Maybe I need more salt??
CONGRATS on the 3 lbs loss!! Woot Woot!!! I can just imagine how happy you are, that is amazing and so true that hard work WILL pay off even if it takes its time!!
Also HUGE congrats on being sober 1 month ams 22 days, thatās fantastic! Is that when you started your weight loss??
Iām sorry to hear youāve been feeling under the weather to say the least the last few days, perhaps more. That sucks! I wasnt feeling quite right Tuesday afternoon after my workouts and shower and it went into yesterday. Just an overall āoff-nessā which was not good. It definitely slowed me down when it came to my workouts yesterday and although I completed them, I kept them on the easier side. Of course hubby and I decided to go for a bike ride since it was in the 60s here and that still gives me a workout. There was some snow and ice on the paved trail so I walked my bike through those patches to be cautious.
Anyway, hang in there Jen!!! I hope you get to feeling 100% in no time at all. Sending you good vibes your way from me to you!
Iām not sure about the salt part of your dietā¦ Im sorry Iām no help there. Keep up the great work though!!
Thanks!
No I started it at the end of November but had a 3 weeks āoffā over Christmas where I regained someā¦ so started again properly when i decided to get sober, although I have lost 19lbs in that 1 month and 22 days so not bad going!
Funnily enough I feel better now, better than I did this morning when I made that post anywayā¦ letās see how i feel tomorrow morning, so up and down atm!
You are very very welcome!! Holy moly!! You lost 19 lbs in roughly 7 ish weeks??? WOW!!! You are AMAZING, you go Wonder Woman!!
Just keep the good feels rolling! I hope you continue to feel betterer and betterer!!
I havenāt lost a lot this week but I did lose some.
Temperature is warming here which I thought would be great but it means my forest paths are melting and unwalkable. So now Iām walking the neighbourhood and itās boring as hell!! To get the same distance Iām just wandering around in circles.
I need better motivation to get out there.
Summer canāt come soon enough. Spring sucks!!
Weigh in day for Debā¦ today I weighed 134.2 lbsā¦ making this weekās loss 1.4 lbs!!! Yay! I am very happy with the loss and it will help to keep me on the right track with my work out schedule for the coming week.
Overall I have now lost: 17.6 lbs.
Goal weight (for now): 120 lbs.
This week (week 15) weight: 134.2 lbs.
Last weekās weight (week 14): 135.6 lbs.
Week 13ās weight: 137 lbs.
Week 12ās weight: 138.2 lbs.
Starting weight (week 1) Nov 29, 2020: 151.8 lbs.
I had hoped or really set myself a mini goal a while back of 129.9 lbs by week 16 (next Sunday), but Iām thinking that is a bit of a stretch for me. Losing 4.3 lbs in one week is a long shot and not very safe in my opinion. Iāll get there though even if it isnāt next week and Iāll get to the 120 lbs weight too. It just takes dedication, to stay focus, to not get discouraged, and hard work. I will achieve these goals Iāve set forth for myself and this time I wonāt squander them awayā¦ with going back to drinking. Self sabotage is the absolute worst!
Hope you all have a great day!!! Hereās to another great week!!
It looks like weāre on a similar path. Iām currently at 133 with 120 as my ultimate goal.
I try not to set mini goals so I donāt get too frustrated. Iām using the āone day at a timeā method.
That is a great suggestionā¦ to NOT set mini goals. I usually do not, but I sorta kinda did this timeā¦ whoops! I really do try and want to look at the bigger picture of not just weight loss, but just a fitness journey and a life long much healthier lifestyle approachā¦ more all encompassing verses the mindset of achieving a certain weight or waist size by X date or event. When Ive done that in the past I set myself up for failureā¦ I made it now I can go back to old BAD habits and stop working out and or not watching what I eat or not being diligent with drinking plenty of fluidsā¦ also going back to drinking always happened too which I canāt allow myself to do. Not this time, not ever again. If I become complacent at anytime, I know what lurks around that dark cornerā¦ the beast within (alcohol).
Anyhoo!!! We do definitely have similar goals! Thatās awesome. Iām 5ā 4" and 46 (47 in August). My highest recordable weight was this last time of 151.8 lbs. I started back on Nov 29th. Would you be comfortable sharing your stats? Please do if youāre good with it! No pressure.
Very similar!!
5ā2ā and 49 years old.
I started on Noom last fall at 142 but I had got up to 144 during the pandemic. I tried on my own but couldnāt get motivated beyond those two pounds. By January I had only lost a few pounds so I switched to WW+ at 138. Iāve now lost 4-5 lbs in 10 weeks. Not GREAT results but Iām still happy with the downward trend.
My only goal is to not feel uncomfortable on our beach vacation this summer. Even if I do make 120 I wonāt be a stunner but I just want to be able to walk around in a bathing suit and not fear what others are thinking (and yea, I AM aware that no one is actually thinking anything!! Itās all in my head. ). Itās not a glamorous beach vacation, just a rental home in a beach town we can drive to but itās the only vacation weāve had in a long time!!
Official weigh in this morning and I was actually down 1.5lbs this week.
Overall Iām down 10lbs, 12 to go.
Wow and YES, we are very very similar indeed!! Very VERY COOL!! Thank you for sharing by the way. It just helps sometimes to further put things in perspective too. If you know what I mean??
Iāve heard of Noom but have never given it a try. Over the years I would seek out new exercise programs, some with diet included and would dive in nose first and do okay with them but not out of this world great. The reason being is that I usually always continued to drink except for 2 times in the past. Once back in March 2016 I quit drinking for a month for the program and then actually eased back into drinking for real with drinking the super light MGD64 or something like that. I didnt like it back than since I didnāt like the taste but drank a couple (daily) anyway. I was still watching my diet otherwise very closely and exercising every day. Lost and got down to 118 lbs still. Eventually over a few months my will power ran out and I stopped exercising as frequently and watching the diet slipped and of course I went back to drinking better tasting beer. So up, up, up my weight went (again). For context I never weighed more than 140 maybe 145 at my highest weights while I was full term pregnant with my 2 girls. My usual weight was 105-110lbs and I had stayed there until my divorce and then I met my hubby and what we did together was drink so I havenāt seen those numbers in 9 years maybe?!?!
Then back in January 2019 I had another successful stint at losing weight. We had given up alcohol in Nov 2018 and I started working out in Jan 2019. I started that time at 140 lbs. By end of Jun 2019, I was 122 lbs just before hubby and I left on our cruise. I was so excited to not look pregnant with my beer belly of a gut and I actually wore a bathing suit and got into the ocean and pool! I finally felt alive. Of course we got the drink package on that cruise after not drinking a drop for 7 months. We made each other a promise and oath that we would only drink on the cruise and stop when we got home. So we got off the boat and had a great weekend at home before hubby had to go back to work and we rationalized that we could keep drinking that weekend since technically we were still on vacation. Well after that weekend we just kept at it, because thatās what alcoholics do. In Feb 2020 we joined PF and by that point I was back to 140 lbs in just over 7 monthsā¦ all my hard work lost. But we hit the gym 5-6 days a week. We did scale back on our drinking significantly that month except for thr weekends. We drank like we were fish. Then covid hit and all the shit hit the fan. No more gym. The world goes in in to shock, panic, lock down mode and all I had to get me through it was my drink in my hand. From Mar 2020 to Nov 2020. Until I didnt feel good anymore when Iād drink. Thats what made me stop. I got up to my highest weight of 151.8 lbs. It probably was a but more since I waited 10 days to weigh myself after I quit drinking.
ANYWAY!! Sorry for the long-winded life story. Thought it might be applicable here as itās a part of how Iāve yo-yoāed over the last 8 or so years when all my life prior I had no issues really with my weight.
For WW, I have tried that when I was a teenager back in the early 90ās. I had an autoimmune disease which I had to be put on high doses of Prednisone so I gain weight then (it has cleared up completely after a year or so way back then). When I eventually hit 120 lbs I went on a diet and lost 7-8 lbs on WW.
I hear you about just wanting to feel comfortable.in your own skin. I often will NOT wear a bathing suit or go in any water with the public around. Iāve gotten asked many times at different times along the way, āwhen are you due?ā all the while Iām holding a beer or wine?!?! Like seriously WTF people?!?!?! Nothing NOTHING is a bigger blow than to get asked that when there is no way I am. Granted they donāt know, but they can see me tipsy and or drink in hand so seriously?!?! Thatās how I carry my beer belly weight however. It appears like Iām pregnant. Iām normal everywhere else, BUT there. I havenāt measured this time around before or during this weightloss journey but before I was at 38 inches at one time. I use to be about 27 inches, but the smallest I got down to was probably 30 inches back in June 2019 when weighing 122 lbs. So I totally and utterly and completely understand is my point!! LOL!
I forgot to add, WAAAAAY TOOO GOOOO on being down 1.5 lbs this week!!! I am so stinking happy for you!!! Hereās to a great week!!! Youāll reach your goal before you know it!! Wooohoooo!!
