Hi guys

So I’m in weight range. Doing good.
I hope you all are doing well.
Way to go Deb. It’s those small milestones that keep us going. Happy for ya. I know you been working so hard. Keep it up.
That’s awesome!! Terrific work Laura.
It’s truly amazing what we can do when we are sober.
Keep up the great work. You look fantastic.
Good Evening. I don’t know how this is the first time seeing this thread but I like it . So I’m starting over again with the no drinking and working out again. I was almost 2 years sober before I relapsed and thought I had drinking under control. But in that two year span I tried crossfit and fell in love with it. I started out at 225pds and actually got down to 199. Covid hit and the box shut down and I only had a small selection of workout gear at home. This is when I started to pick up drinking again and over time Inwas back into my old habits with drinking and eating shitty. I am now back up to 213. Trying to hit the box at 5am but its hard waking up at 4am. As of right now I have been going once a week. Trying to do more and have a better eating habits. Any tips suggestions to get back on track would be greatly appreciated.
Weigh in day for me… so… Im down 2.4 lbs this week! Woohoo! It brings me to a grand total loss of 25.6 lbs in 19 weeks. My weight is 126.2 lbs today (started at 151.8 lbs on Nov 29th). My goal for the time being is still 120 lbs at least until I get there and see how things look and feel. My core still is my biggest trouble spot (lower and obliques) so I may decide on lower the goal weight to 115 lbs if there seems to me more fat that needs to be lost. Thats still a ways off deciding on that though. I’m just going to enjoy today and my progress! I haven’t decided on how long of a ride I’m going to do today… 60, 75 and 90 min rides are under consideration at the moment and a shorter hike and some core! Yesterday I did my first ever 45 min hike paired with a 20 min full out go as fast and as hard as you can ride… I was exhausted and made up for going easier on Friday since I got my 1st vaccine Thursday and my arm was SUPER SORE.
@Dazercat Hey! You are still within your target maintaining weight range, so that is fabulous!! Yay!!! I hope you’ve been enjoying your weekend! Also, thank you for being so awesomely supportive!! I have been busting my ass literally and figuratively. I have let my body go so many times before with all the drinking weight gain and bloating. I havent felt this good in 2 years! What’s different about now verses then… the idea of drinking still flickered in the back of my mind… and eventually hubby and I caved into it. This time though that flicker is non existent Im so glad to report.
Anyway! Have a GREAT Sunday all!!
Weighing in at 199.6. And remembering to check in. In weight rang goal but I’m cutting it close with only .4 to spare. I know it’s the chocolate. I found some quest peanut butter cups. Which is ok but I still got the peppermint patty’s and of course I’m doing both. And sneaking one of the wife’s Heath Bars. So now that I got that out here; now I got to do something about it.
Still great to be doing this sober.
Otherwise Fuhgeddaboudit.
Thank you all for the positivity and support!! Today I walked 2.5 miles with these girls, they’ve been getting in shape with me. Trying to get back into the routine after a lazy winter!
Hey all. I kinda took a bit of a break after I started seeing the ED behaviours creeping in but started back at it this past week. I’m happy to say that I didn’t gain too much. Today I weighed in and I was only 0.4 lbs higher than my lowest point…which was probably low for bad reasons anyways.
So I’m hoping if I can keep up the healthy behaviours I’ll be going back down next week.
Overall 10lbs lost and about 10 to go.
Sorry everyone, I’ve been awful at checking in. Still doing the work… was down 3 lbs this week. Lots of walking, veggies and water. I also subscribed to Oats Overnight that I use as breakfast or lunch daily. Kind of a meal replacement. Make, shake, fridge overnight (or for a few hours) then eat. Tasty and quick. I think the shakes are 7-9 points on ITrackBites as well as WW. Keep Going everyone! We GOT this!
I have found that making oatmeal every morning has made a huge difference. It’s a very satisfying fullness that helps keep me from snacking all day. I had other people say they did oatmeal in the past to lose weight but it always seemed like bullshit to me. LOL. But it’s true!
I’m going to try that, Sue. I have steel cut oats and looked up how to do the overnight recipe. Thanks!
I think I could use some support with my journey.
Hey gang… I feel like I may need to Get ahead of things and start checking back in here regularly again… So I lost 7kg in the last month (yay) but it was not healthy as it was due to my relapse. So like clock work, I will feel the bloat return soon over the next week if I do not get serious about the foods I’m putting into my body… I’m 68kgs now. I aim to continue to loose the weight but at a healthy pace. So here goes week one of healthy weight loss…I will return to the gym this week at some point. But because of how terrible I felt with my super bloated self before the relapse, I feel confident that I will do what I know is right and not eat breads, pastas, carbs, processed foods, sugar etc… Looking forward to seeing my weight in on Sunday in 5 days time
Forgot to check in yesterday on my weigh in. I was quite surprised to weigh in at 196.6. This time in my lower end of my weight range. I hadn’t been very active in the afternoons and evenings and been enjoying my chocolate snacks. But what a great surprise to weigh in. I could not be maintaining my weight loss goal if I wasn’t sober. No way!! No how!!
Sometimes our bodies need is to take a break to kickstart it again. It’s a hormone thing.
Good morning all you wonderful people!! So today is my weigh in day… I’m down 3.8 lbs this week!!! HOLY SHIT!!! I am SO thrilled!!! I definitely did not think I was going to be down that much, but I can absolutely attest to the mindset that hard work and dedication DOES WORK! I am now 122.4 lbs, only 2.4 lbs away from my initial goal weight. This brings my over all loss to 29.4 lbs in 20 weeks (since I started working out with Peloton!) I’m just so happy. I feel like all the minutes and hours of exercise is actually getting me to where I want to be and I’m actually in control of something and changing my life for the better. Anyway! Thanks for listening and for all the awesome and ongoing support! You guys ROCK!
