Weightloss CHECK IN : dont give up (Part 1)

During Covid-19, I realized it would be hard for me to recover if I get the virus.

So I started walking. First few weeks was 1.5 to 2 miles and two months later it is 4 miles.

6 days a week I walk. 4 meals a week I eat - fruits with yogurt and :honey_pot: to reduce calorie in take.

The results are showing :v:t5:

I use the time from commute to work since it is work from homeā€¦

Your before and afters are phenomenal. Nice work girl!! :trophy:

Nice work ā€¦ !! Itā€™s hard getting through that first week but when you do you realise that you made it and go on my god I did it. And itā€™s such a good feeling knowing you beat yourself etcā€¦ But itā€™s easy to slip up after that week coz you will be like ahhhh Iā€™ve been so good, I can treat myself, then down the rabbit hole we go again lolā€¦ I know itā€™s easier said than done but donā€™t slip. Remove every from your house that is not healthy foodā€¦ Just get rid of it to be on the safe side :trophy: but nice work getting through a week!!

No much more! Iā€™m on noon and I love it! I really enjoy it. You get a couch, a group leader , a group kinda like here on ts, and much moreā€¦ Itā€™s something I look forward to every day logging on to noom to do my work on there! It makes me feel very accomplished!

Sorry, I meant that losing the subscription you get to keep a lot. I do love the articles and quizzes etc. I look forward to that each day. Iā€™m not keen on my coach and I just started in my group so weā€™ll see how that goes.

Good girl :trophy:ā€¦ Iā€™m restarting tomorrow as well as this past week has just been an epic fail with it all lol. Iā€™m blaming it on mercury retrograde even though I know thatā€™s not the reason I went and had a blah week lolā€¦ But enoughs enough. Time to set my alarms and get my butt moving and re focus :alarm_clock:

You go girl!! Do me a favor. Donā€™t over do it!!
Start slow and steady if itā€™s been awhile. Whenever I restart I only do one set of stuff and not much weight. Do that for the first few visits. Iā€™m an expert at restarting. Iā€™ve also learned the hard painful way.
Enjoy your workout.

back on the clean eating wagon after a blah few daysā€¦ Chicken breast and broci treesā€¦ I normally drown my brocolli in butter and salt but Iā€™m really going to make an effort not to from here onā€¦ I love this simple pairing. It always fills me properly and leaves me satisfied. And very affordable :trophy:

Every February I do the Daniel Fast for church. One of the things you give up is dairy, so no butter. I have found a spray of olive oil to be a suitable and healthier alternative on vegetables, baked potatoes, and love it on avocado with some pepper.

So, any of yā€™all meditate for weight loss? I have before and I still do. Not as often as I use to. Iā€™ve mentioned the Breethe App before. I use it regularly. I was looking for something different yesterday and found this. I havenā€™t tried any of their weight loss meditations. But I use a lot of their others. I just thought Iā€™d pass it along. Eventually Iā€™ll check it out. I think the app is free BTW.

What do you got to loose? Worse that happens is you get a nice relaxing guided meditation.

I meditate in general every day. In the morning after Iā€™ve had my morning coffee and washed my face, other wise I fall back asleep when trying to meditate lolā€¦ Or i do a sneaky and crawl right back into bed for more zzzzzzz lol :joy:ā€¦ But for weight loss? Itā€™s never occurred to me. Oh and Iā€™m loving noom. Itā€™s something I look forward to every morning sitting down with my coffee and doing my days reading and work! Itā€™s like a little school task lol. I feel accomplished!

So today Iā€™m re focusing and getting back to clean eating. I had a write off of a week just past, I donā€™t know what happened, the universe decided to put me on my butt for the week and take the fuel outta me. I felt so flat and just blah. But itā€™d Monday today, and I feel a lot better, the fog has cleared and Iā€™m up at 8am ready for the dayā€¦ I will get back on my indoor bike today and get the ball rolling again !

Okay. Made it to the gym today. 5 minute warm up on the stair machine, followed by lower body workout. Leg curls and extensions, leg press, deadlift and calf raises. Ended with 25 minutes of cardio. Not too bad Iā€™m thinking.
Iā€™m starting the fodmap diet- man is it restrictive. I had tomato soup and kale salad. I skipped breakfast because I got up too late. Waiting for hubs to get home so we can make dinner. Love and well wishes for health journeys today!

Nice one :trophy:ā€¦ Ive grown fond of kale lately after discovering baking it in the oven to make kale chips. The taste grows on you!

I do love kale chips! This was a salad mix with kale, brussel sprouts, radicchio, Parmesan and a lemon vinaigrette. It was good but surprisingly not filling! I might have to start dinner sooner rather than later!

I was doing that for awhile, April, baking the kale chips. Itā€™s tricky to cook just right! Then I tried the bagged ones and they werenā€™t bad.

The are tricky indeed lol. And I also love the packet versions :speak_no_evil:ā€¦ There is a health brand in Australia that makes a cheese version. The flavor is very subtle but there so good!

Day 4 of cutting wayyyy back on carbs/sugar. Iā€™ve found Iā€™m unintentionally eating less calories as well and sleeping soooo much better! I feel and look less bloated too and thatā€™s without even exercising
