Weightloss CHECK IN : dont give up (Part 1)

Gained 0.2lbs friends, but I’m not concerned as I’m eating way less and the weight graph on MyFitnessPal is dropping. My sponsor said he’s going to call me skinny Minnie. Here’s hoping we all feel good about ourselves and connected with others. It’s good to be sober and free :hugs:

Been eating sober today but did cave and buy some diet coke…grr. I had addict thinking which was, surgery date is coming up and will have to stick to diet then, why not pig out until I absolutely have to go on the pre-op liquid diet ?

This is like using as many drugs as you can before rehab… crazy! So am going to try to resist because it’s more important to get used to eating healthy before the surgery, get in a pattern.

I may not be getting enough nutrients in my one meal had crap sleep and extreme hunger and anxiety today. Will add a light lunch along with dinner to be safer. Progress not perfection. :+1: It’s not a race (note to myself) LoL

Checking in the cravings to binge are not as bad as last night. Still having trouble giving up caffeine and diet coke completely but have cut down. Eating healthy at meals, at least not calling Uber Eats, going to make butter chicken for dinner.

Going in the right direction.
Being able to walk my ass off this week has paid off.

Feeling better today! Going to eat raw red Cabbage and plain yogurt for lunch. 9 lbs to go : ) Keep up the good work and workouts :muscle::hugs:

Down to 171 from 240 back in December.

That left pic is from August of 2019 size 40 slacks and the right is yesterday. Sobriety and the gym have been such a blessing the last 6.5 months.

Well today is my last day of normal eating ever (well let’s get real overweight-person eating).

Tomorrow I start 7 days of Optifast which is a low-calorie shake diet designed to shrink my liver before weight-loss surgery Dec… 7.

Will try not to binge too much today.

I’m down a couple of pounds (that I had regained recently) and am at 154.4 lbs, feels good.
@kat261 I will not binge with you today.

I feel so lazy not going to the gym on weekends, a walk will do though. I’m enjoying my hot lemon drink this morning as my tummy does its housecleaning :blush:

Hello sober crew, Back at the gym today and two yoga sessions, lost a pound over the weekend getting closer to 145, currently 153.4 lbs. Trying to eat healthy ~ but less. :hugs::hugs:

Now it’s all about maintenance. Don’t wanna lose the dad bod entirely. Chicks dig it :rofl:

Day 1 of 7 of pre-surgery Optifast diet today.

Basically this is 4-225 Calorie shakes plus (optional) 2 cups non-starchy vegetables plus all the no-sugar beverages you can drink. That’s it.

Had the first shake blended with a couple ice cubes it was quite good.

Weighed in this morning: 270.6 (at 5’4) ugh.

Ah well onward and upward!
