What are you most proud of your self for rn ?šŸ’™

Honestly… right now my recovery!! Celebrating 6 months at 10pm tonight. And the fact that me and hubby (my hubby smokes cigarettes still) didn’t need a new lighter until today! Thats 6 months of him using 1 lighter! Back then, we used to go thru a lighter each a night when we used. That hit me just now lol I’m kind of proud of that!

Thank you so much @Twizzlers and @Shaunda. I appreciate the congratulations. I have 3 more hours to go technically until my milestone chip on here is avaiiable
@Shaunda I thought it was funny too. My hubbys lighter died while trying to light a cigarette and he asked me if we had one lying around. I use a lighter for smudging with sage and I gave mine to him. Made me realize that lighters actually last a realllly long time if u use them properly lol

@Butterflymoonwoman that y’all kept track of that lighter is another momentous occasion! We were the kind of users that had new phones and all every other week because we couldn’t keep anything. Lost, stolen, who knows…one lighter for that long is epic. You should be proud!
And congrats on 6 months! :hibiscus:

Proud to have 19 months of sobriety. BUT even more proud of rebuilding what i destroyed well drinking, dealing with problems head on instead of pushing things off, rebuilding relationships that were tarnished due to my drinking. Pushed harder then i ever have in my career and opened up many doors for myself. Found a person inside of me that i have pushed down for 10+ years with drugs and alcohol. Or should i say pushed down for a ā€œgood timeā€.

I am proud for all of love and support that I have gotten from this thread thank you all. For all of the love and support.

I will be receiving my big book study edition from my home group this week. I am looking forward to it. I am excited and looking forward to breaking in another big book this will be tenth one for me.

I have been asked before why I do it this way? There are several reasons. You have to give it away to keep it. My notes and emphasis on what is pertinent to me and my Sobriety changes as I grow.
Therefore the notes are always different they are never the same.

Most of the people that I have sponsored over the years has my original copy with my original notes in it, from the time that I sponsored them. I would give it away as a gift for their first Anniversary of Sobriety or upon completion of the steps.

I did it not for glory, not for ego, but out of love and respect. Not just for their achievements, but for the love of the fellowship as well.

Love, compassion and understanding is everything.

Please keep the faith. Love you all.

I’m proud of putting in the work to make myself a better happier person. One day at a time. Recovery is a verb and I have done the work for over three years now. And will be doing it for the rest of my life too or it will be undone in the blink of an eye.

Proud I feel strong and secure enough to be working in a detox now and carry some forward of what I learned and was given too. Living a better life is heaps of work but at the same time it’s so bloody positive. And feeling proud of what I achieved in itself is such a positive. I’m actually proud of feeling positive.

And always very proud of being here together with you all. All warriors for a better life for all of us. Together.
