  • to the sound of pouring rain,
  • with an allergy attack,
  • and a face full of mucus…
  • but, that’s ok because … I did, after all, wake. up.
  • Somewhere(s), out there, many people did not wake up:
  • victims of their active addiction(s).
  • I’m gonna hold onto that,
  • and be kind to others.

Got caught up with work, so I’m reading Annie Grace’s This Naked Mind. I noticed so many folks on TS raving about it, and now I see why.

Grabbing a healthy lunch while I am running errands, then home to exercise and meditate.

Woke up with the third step prayer. Called my family to check in and now for a quick meditation and some reading. I know I need to be very vigilant this weekend as I am very stressed and the sun seems to activate my addict brain. Need to go for a walk but due to the cravings I will plan a route that does not pass any bars or bodegas.

Will go to my 2pm meeting. If im still having cravings i will go to the 4pm meeting too or the 5pm on zoom.

I will plan something for this evening, even if its just a specific movie to watch on netflix or a craft project. Maybe theres a play to go see or a yoga class. What sober weekend night activities do you all enjoy?

Will meditate before bed as I havent done so for a few days.

Ooh …what kind of play? I do love all sorts but was really into watching some of Broadway theater.

My evenings are not so exciting these days. I enjoy them catching up here, knitting, cooking or reading.

I woke up to some good coffee. Did some chores around the house. Flew a kite with my youngest. Grabbed some Chinese for dinner. All while fighting the urge to go buy alcohol… It’s one of those tough days, but I’m getting through it. I’m gonna be ok.

Local high school is performing Shrek The Musical. I want to go and bet you would go with me. Local theater is always fun. Yet 1 more area hubby has no interest in. Oh well . Lovely day!

Oooh now that sounds fun…for sure I’d go with you. Took years for me to get others interested in it so I would do Broadway and off Broadway by myself. Make a whole night of it… Dinner and the theater :performing_arts::heavy_heart_exclamation:

Well I checked the theatres around me and the only thing available that looks interesting is too expensive. So I think ill watch a movie, maybe to the movie theatre if theres a new scary movie
