I shoot for breakfast or brunch between 10 and 11 and dinner around 4 so I’m in the kitchen less. Ha! I’m my most active and creative first part of day so put off. I’ll have herbal tea with ACV and honey and lots of water. Coffee on occasion. First meal eggs with greens, feta and verde or pesto, an avocodo, and a small fruit like smoothie with nuts, hemp protein, collagen, etc. or fresh fruit, raspberries my fav. Like cottage cheese with olives or pickled pepper rings, hb egg and sour dough or grainy flatbread crackers with almond butter if busy. Weekends pancakes or sugary bakery items like today. First meal always my favorite.
I would eat them all day as well. I love scrambled eggs. When I was little Sassy I loved them with ketchup.
My brother still eats them that way. His grilled cheese too. I’m picky when it comes to ketchup. It doesn’t go on a lot for me.
That looks amazing. I’m going to put that to work if I ever get out of my lane to grocery store…
Made this for lunch. The bread under is an avocado, egg and mozzarella cheese whisked and smashed together baked for 30 mins. Has same texture as a croissant (believe it or not) topped with tuna salad. Was very yummy.
Next I’ll have with smoked salmon and light cream cheese.
Rice, eggs, veggies depending on season and taste, pickles, broth in cold season, koffee.
For the last couple of months it has been a protein shake, Oikos plain yogurt with a handful of Ratio Keto Friendly cereal (for a little sweetness and and crunch) and sometimes half a banana on there as well. Of course there’s always coffee!
I’ve been doing “raw before 4” so I eat raw fruits and veggies until 4 pm. Sometimes for breakfast I just have a banana or grapefruit, sometimes a salad!
1 package of Instant apple cinnamon Quaker oats oatmeal. Yes there are healthier choices but it’s delicious and a slow digesting carb that my body can metabolize throughout the day.
I have this every morning with very rare exceptions where I have nothing
Since my sobriety seven months ago, I’ve been working out and working with my gym’s nutritionist. My goal now is to have baby six pack abs so my breakfast is protein heavy with limited carbs (unless there’s a run in my workout then I bump up the carbs a bit).
I like to have nonfat or low fat plain greek yogurt with 1/2 or 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder and a sprinkle of berries.
Another favorite is 1/2 cup of oatmeal (boiled with water) with a hard boiled egg. I usually make a batch of oatmeal that will last me for about 3 days. When ready to eat I will bump up the protein in my oatmeal by adding vanilla protein powder, a splash of chocolate protein shake for easier mixing, then a sprinkle of berries. So good!
I’ve beat an egg white in my oatmeal when almost done for an added protein punch, makes good texture too.
This is one of my favs I’ll make about every other morning:
1/2 cup whole grain oatmeal
1/2 cup of water
Heat in mw for 3 minutes
in the meantime
Slice up 6-7 fresh strawberries
1 banana
Remove from mw, add like a splash of more water and heat for another 1 min
When done:
rinse strawberries and add to oatmeal
cut banana slices into oatmeal
rinse blueberries and add to oatmeal
Delish
See…I can cook
I love oatmeal, used to eat about 5 times per week. Old fashioned steel cut oats. Some almond milk, sliced almonds, handful of berries and a dollop of real honey…
But as a diabetic I was told it’s to much of a sugar bump for a sustained time with the oatmeal…
Steel cut oats are the best oats, in my humble opinion. How you used to prepare them sounds delicious!
This morning was a awesome breakfast 6 sunside eggs and toast and 2 orders of home fries and alot of bacon
Im ready for a nap but i cant because i gotta pack up for a work trip leaving out tomorrow
