I’ve replaced a lot of the time I used to spend drinking with working out, meal prepping and other fitness related stuff.

All different kinds of hot tea. Some with caffeine, but mostly herbal. Also I have been drinking energy drinks during the day, which I never did before… although it’s probably not a healthy habit to start.

Chocolate, gym, sunflower seeds, TS! :grimacing:

Tons of water, hot teas, reading, spending time playing with my daughter. Fell In Love with cooking again. Going to the library and finding cool books, taking hikes in places I’ve never been. Admiring things I used to take for granted. And making sure I take the time to self care either it be a face mask ironing my clothes or picking out an outfit I wouldn’t normally put together.

I have been drinking fizzy water with fruit juice mixed in or cordial, also tea, lots of tea.
I am considering exploring the non-alcoholic drink world (have done before but this time around I feel differently) however I hadn’t yet because I didn’t want to just use it as a substitute… I guess I wanted to like something just as much which was very different and not trying to be like alcohol - anyone else felt like this?

I drink mostly sparkling water. I’ll have some non alcoholic beer sometimes. I’ve been eating gummy worms (hardly ate candy before I quit drinking). I try to stay busy, cooking, chores, watching a lot of shows and movies with a sparkling water in hand.

I was a open book at first, my mind was going crazy and I had to fight those Demons. So I would bike and hike miles and miles, like I was doing 40 50 miles daily. I definitely conquered some awesome things when I first got sober, then it switched to lifting and still I wasn’t very happy with myself I was just escaping reality to me trying to be hot and cool is how it felt. I feel more comfortable a little now but after my relapse I definitely destroyed some of myself again. I really found art is something I love, but still can have a unhealthy relationship with it. I need to find a balance for it all. Its like drugs to me sometimes, I go nuts on sweets, pre workouts, lifting, art and tend to self sabotage myself while doing it.

Hi Victoria_jlau, welcome to the community! I drink lots of tea also, fruit, herbal and green. My favourite spot in the house is perched on stool in the kitchen next to the kettle with a book in hand (the simple things in life🥰) Have you found that non-alcoholic beers have triggered cravings/relapses for you in the past?

Oh yes those are my girls favorite treats and mine… Blend ice well, packet of swiss miss Coco, about a cup of half and half or heavy cream, and a tablespoon of vanilla extract, or vanilla bean paste I use both and idk it’s amazing. Taste like a chilled french vanilla Coco latte. Also a little bit of milk to help it loosen a little so it’s not to thick.
