Oh also, I have a “pet” venus fly trap, its my baby and I love feeding it bugs, you have to feed them live bugs though as they won’t eat dead ones, even if they’ve recently been killed (I tried)
Funny thing is I really like bugs too but I love my venus fly trap the most so that wins every time :laughing:

That is the healthiest Venus fly trap I’ve ever seen. Normally people buy them and they slowly die, but yours is magnificent! Well done :+1:
Although I do have this vision of you with a jar of live flies, picking one out with tweezers, giving an evil laugh then feeding it to the fly trap, whilst thunder and lightning go off in the background. But that’s just my odd mind.
Still well impressed! :muscle:

I dont think theres anything they wont eat!
Only thing to watch out for, we fed mine 3 magpie moths and the traps turned black and had to be cut off eventually.
Apparantly that happens if the plant isn’t in good health (most indoor ones aren’t at 100% good health) BUT even though it lost 3 traps it grew another 7 so it must have had a good feed. :woman_shrugging: im working it up to good health, we’ve only had it for a few months.
It even started growing a flower the other day but I cut that off because it takes too much energy and can even kill the plant. (the flowers themselves are pretty unimpressive so it wasn’t a loss)
