Where my cat people? #2

Thank you. He does have a sweet face. And when I scold him in a sing song voice, unless he understands English, he has no idea he “done wrong.” I really need to start being firmer with him. But …he’s a kitten!!:sweat_smile:

Have you tried a water pistol or rocks in a tin can? I just saw my vet yesterday and he was saying that kittens are very trainable and that the correction should actually come from an outside source… So they get a consequence for their actions that isn’t directly coming from you actually “scolding” them. It’s working fairly well with Lola… Every time she jumps up behind the computer to chew the wires I shake a can of rocks and she jumps off she stops doing it now because she thinks every time she jumps up there she’ll hear that noise

Actually, I use an air can for both cats. I don’t even have to spray it. The sound of the metal can is enough. I use it when the dog is trying to eat to keep them away. And on weekends when he tries to get me up AFTER I dragged my butt out of bed at 6 a.m. to feed him and his sister. I put it by my pillow and tap it with my nail and he runs. If that stops working the can of rocks sounds good. So…I guess I am working on his behavior after all!

Oh that’s a good idea! It’s definitely a lot of work with these animals🤣 I’m still exhausted. Lola got her 2nd set of vaccines yesterday and it was the first time she didn’t wake me up at 5:45 by jumping on my face. I actually woke up just after 6:00 on my own and she was still sleeping!!! Now she’s full of beans again

I put on the neat tablecloth … of course only for the cats

His unholy brat Schimanski joins us on the sofa. He is such a curious cutie :orange_heart:

This has been my first experience with kittens, in the past I’ve only had grown cats. These little wackos make me smile everyday.:heart:

Having twins is the way to go! They will entertain each other and be best friends. Tony is my first singlet in years. It’s just the way it worked out. He tries to play with Rosie. He does play with the dog. But two kittens is just the BEST! And two tuxes?? Even better.

I agree. They are besties. I would never have enough energy to run after one all day. :heart_eyes_cat:

She has her own little chair, for now.

@Hausmakc Actually your cat has a sacred responsibility to get fur all over your clothes and bedding. Because you, as a human, are lacking in the proper amount of fur, you could freeze to death. Your cat loves you so much that s/he donates fur to you through the laying upon your clothing/bedding. Sometimes laying there for hours, but the sacrifice is worth it because you are their human.

@Alliecat I love the colors on your walls! How bright and cheerful! Also, I love that second to last picture. Cat bathing!

@Matt You are in luck. Waiting patiently for food is not my cat’s strong point.

@BaileyPB What an expressive look there! I don’t remember if I saw you say or not, but what breed is your cat? Bengal? Those markings are very distinctive.

This is Meow, he passed away at 17 a year and a half ago. He was the most laid back cat I have ever owned. Here he is with his lion Halloween costume :joy:
