Still on my little internet break but wanted to get on my laptop to check in with you guys real quick!! I decided to name this cat that I started taking care of Nova which means a star that explodes with brightness!! At this point there is definitely 
percent trust between us. Honestly it didn’t take long. I think it’s more then just because I feed her type thing. It seems like every week I get something new accessory wise that makes her life just a little better. I think more then anything it makes me happy that she can actually get some real sleep. I still let her go outside a decent amount probably half the day and I pretty much let her come and go as she wants. It’s funny though because sometimes she does seem indecisive about leaving and she will stand by my door for like 20 minutes debating if she wants to leave. I have a collar and name tag thing being delivered that I’m going to put her name and my phone number on Because I don’t want somebody to see her outside and think that she is stray and take her to a facility or adopt her. That would suck.
A couple nights ago we had this really cool bonding experience where she was resting on my desk and I got down on like a squatting position and I was Eye level with her And I pretty much was telling her my plans for the next couple months of finishing Probation and then how I was going to take her to my parents house But that everything was going to be OK and she doesn’t have to worry about food or shelter anymore or love and after I got done talking she reached her paw and hand like one paw Over to me and rested it on my arm maybe as if to say I hear you and thank you. It was pretty cool. Then there was this like meditation moment where we didn’t say anything and I just sat there. I’m always talking to her now about just about everything. I really think this cat can understand me when I talk to her. I think it says a lot that she’s this comfortable with me considering she’s been primarily stray and homeless. She still is pretty cautious and can be really jumpy but she’s a lot better than she was. Sometimes I even have to be careful with opening a soda can because that can frighten her. Anyway I’ll periodically keep you guys updated while I continue to take my Internet break and focus on real life things. There is a pretty bad storm coming today and it makes me happy that she doesn’t have to worry. I feel like she is making up for years of not sleeping properly. I’ll let her sleep today…
It’s nice to have a living being to take care of … Helps me to continue staying on the path of recovery

@bluekoolaid_88 Don’t put her name on the tag it’s asking for trouble.
Just put your first name and phone number, and maybe the first couple of lines of your addresses with zip code.
I’m more than pleased you’ve really bonded with Nova, things are looking real good for you 2😁
Has she been to the vets yet?

Well, another crisis with Luna has developed. She quit eating - again - and the vet visit yesterday, with anti nausea medicine and extra fluids didn’t do the trick this time. Been reading about force feeding - using syringes or tubes or whatever - but I really don’t feel like doing that. For me it would feel like doing it for me, not for her. But I don’t know. I guess I’ll contact the vet again tomorrow morning when nothing happens.

If someone picks her up/steals her and they know her real name they can bond🤔
If they call her suzy for example and dispute that you’re her real owner you’ve got a chance if the cops get involved of her coming to you when call her name.
Also it’s another really important reason to get her chipped, as it will have all your details on it, just remember to update it when you move

I know it sounds dramatic, but it has and does happen, even more so for a great looking cat like Nova.
You know there’s plenty of twats, wankers and barstards out there.
