That’s what happened when I brought a kitten home several months ago.
My 1 year old kitty couldn’t stop hissing.
I kept the kitten separated from her in another room, while also letting her hang out in a crate sometimes so she could walk by her and familiarize herself.
After 4 days or so they have become pretty inseparable and absolutely adore each other now.
