I’m so sorry you had to go through that, it really is so hard that we can’t talk to them. I’m really hoping he doesn’t need the rest of the teeth out at a later stage, as I’d be worried of his jaw doing the same thing again. I’ve just out my trainers on, just waiting a few more mins before I head out the door, trying to summon some emotional strength from somewhere but it isn’t working, having him home will be much better, and once we’re all settled and he’s eaten, I’ll feel much stronger to face to next 6 weeks of healing with him Thank you so much for the prayers, means a lot
He’s not too bad thank you, he keeps looking for the dry food bless him, but he’s not allowed any for 4 weeks, I’ve offered him extra wet food but he isn’t too interested so far, only to lick the sauce off. Maybe once his gums are healed from the teeth removals he might eat more We are relaxing on the bed together right now…
I was just going to ask about him. What if you water down the dry food until it’s soft; maybe he’d like that. You’re doing great taking good care of him!
Thank you. He’s feeling really sorry for himself now, he’s curled up in the tightest ball against my leg. I tried that yesterday but they both just sniffed at the bowls then ignored it, will try again tomorrow and see if they’ll go to it, neither of them have pooped in the last 24hrs so that’s concerning already. Actually, I’ll water some biscuits down now and see if they eat them overnight.
My cat is so finicky but she loves the good tuna fish; maybe drizzle the water from a can on it… I’m feeling your pain, Tyler but you’re doing everything you can to make them comfortable.
