White elephant gifts!

Anyone have any good white elephant gift ideas? It’s crazy how so many $25 gifts involve alcohol. Craft beer scratch off lists, the book about beer, margarita travel kit, wine glasses, and the list goes on and on…

What about bath gift sets?

I bought two Xmas kitchen hand towels from jc penny and a big fancy box of chocolates at Costco, for just under $25 last year.

We bought a mini blender thing to make single serving smoothies. Kind of like that magic bullet but different brand. It was about $20. I actually want to keep it myself. Maybe I’ll have to steal it when it’s my turn at the gift table!! :joy:

Oh yes I have seen those! I wonder if I can steal my own gift? I think I’m going with this idea!!

Haha, that’s hilarious but not if I got that gift!

Isn’t it supposed to be stuff lying around you don’t want? (Not that it stops my family…)

For our cousins white elephant there’s a Shake Weight that’s been going around since we started. That damn thing has had some sneaky packaging jobs over the years.

I think there are a ton of different rules out there. One gift is for work and the other at fugly Christmas sweater party. The shake weight is hilarious. Good luck not getting it!

Yeah, ours are always a mix of thoughtful little things and absolutely off-the-wall weird stuff.

Maybe a nice throw blanket? Or sober consumables, like a gift basket with random treats.

There is a really cool scratch off map of the world or US on amazon.

You can scratch off the countries or states you’ve visited. It’s a little more than $25, more like $30.

I like Christmas orniments for white elephant gifts. You can get a legit orniment for 25$. Then next year when so and so is decorating for Christmas, they remember you and your gift

I like this idea too! I Went to Vegas and got a cool ornament and used it in my white elephant gift two years ago

I once coveted a single can fridge at a W.E.

At my job, we have a rule of making the gifts. That can be cookies, homemade soap, a painting, or kitted scarf. It was so much fun.

Last year I painted my boss’s cat.

People really go for soft throw blankets and candy.

I took a nice set of deer antlers I had, wrapped copper wire around the base of each antler. Made a nice little sign that said “redneck TV antenna”, made redneck instructions to go with it. It was a hit.

I made red, green and silver paper stars and put them in a jar shaped like a light bulb with string tied around the top as an ornament. It’s for those aw ha moments.

The ones that just went over best for us this last week were soft throws, gift cards and well, booze. There was this one set a lady brought and she had the last number so she traded & took it home with her at the end lol. It was a nice festive table runner, candles and towels. That went over well too!
