I lost 10lbs!!! I lost 2 inches on my waist, 2 inches on my hips, an inch on legs and arms!! 6 inches total. My body fat percentage went down 2%!! And most importantly, my relationship with food has completely changed. I feel good in my body, my energy level is consistent, I’m sleeping better, my skin is glowing and I have color in my cheeks, my mood is more stable, I feel happier, no more chronic lower back pain, and no migraines. Those are the only things I can think of off hand but I know there’s more. The whole30 was literally the best thing I have ever done for my nutritional life/habits. I was at such an awful rock bottom with my nutrition/health at the end of 2020, I needed to change. And thanks to the whole30, I have. I was worried that it would bring up disordered eating thoughts but it didn’t at all. I have not felt restricted or deprived. I did not count calories or macros even once. I just ate whole, nutritient dense, satisfying, delicious food. My mindset and awareness with food has completely shifted and I’m actually mindful and aware about what I’m putting in my body and how it affects me. Going forward, in the next couple of weeks, I’ll be slowly introducing back in some of the foods I couldn’t eat to see if they work with me or not. Although, I have to say, I won’t do it for all. I’m not that interested in adding back sugar or dairy - maybe in a very limited capability, as a special treat type of thing but I feel so incredible without it, why would I ever want to go back. This whole30 journey has really mirrored and enhanced my sobriety and I’m so grateful for it.
Great to hear that,keep rocking
Congrats thats awesome keep up the good work. Its pretty mind blowing how much our bodys can change in 30 days
That’s great Brook!! I am glad you feel so much better!! It is so empowering when we make positive changes. Happy for you!!
Awesome!! My ex is doing this now… any tips?
Honestly, after the first week, it really wasn’t difficult to stick to! Lots of veggies, proteins (meat, seafood, chicken), and potatoes (both sweet and regular). I legit threw out everything that was going to be tempting.
And to be completely honest, I’m actually prefer ghee over butter, avocado, extra virgin, and coconut oils are the only oils I cook with now. I have no desire to eat sugar or dairy or even bread. Idk what happened, it’s like a switch flipped in my head. I have a totally different view towards food
Congrats!!!
I need to start a better regiment I might try this whole 30, I changed my diet and workout and I had tremendous gains, however I’m betting that I can explode if I go super hardcore
