My mom got this birdhouse recently that has a camera. It alerts her when a bird is there and takes video and photos.. its pretty amazing actually.. sometimes I walk by it and make funny faces.. I hear the alert thing go off but not sure if it takes photos or videos of me. She did move it like a week ago so maybe that answers that. But then again it seems there is more birds where she moved it but also not in the pathway of going to my section of the house haha .. and now I realize where wanting a birdhouse is coming from
That’s funny, she probably was getting pics of you making faces sent to her lol.
You know you’re getting old when you stop and think before you buy an extended warranty on anything “Am I even going to be around when this damn thing expires?”
When you subscribe to YT channels watching birdefeeder stations around the world… ![]()

Oooh, i LOVE those! Do you watch the Panama bird feeder? It’s one of my favourites.
*and ya, I know I’m old… ![]()
I watch one in South Africa for the really cool and different birds. I watch a few in America: Ohio, North Carolina, Florida. California for the hummingbirds, Mississippi for the nesting eagles… And I actually am embarrassed to say it doesn’t stop there lol. I’ll look up the Panama one thanks x
I like watching Koi fish videos when I’m in the doctor’s waiting room. It calms me down before the nurse takes my BP. It works.
When did it been become hard to get up off the floor? Ugh. Definitely know I’m getting older when that happens! Need to get my cats to stop puking requiring cleanups.
You know you‘re getting old when you turn down the music to drive into the parking spot.
Same for me. Every year I listen to the radio or music a little less than the year before so I can focus.
You know you’re getting old, because your 23 year old colleague constantly tells about all the concerts she will go to, and you’ve never heard of the “artists”! ![]()
You know that you’re getting old when you explain to your young (early 30’s) colleagues what it was like before the age of mobile phones. How you answered the family phone. How you used a phone booth. How you kept messing up dialling with a rotary phone because you forgot the last number you just cranked.
Even younger colleagues have no idea how to text with a candy bar phone. If you get to show them they’re all impressed how fast you still are ![]()
You know you are getting old when you fix staple gun with a schaschlick stick. Life experience is helpful ![]()

We were crossing the river on the ferry and I had to buy a tickets. Young fella was walking around from car to car selling those. He asked how old are the passengers (my kids). I said 7 and 5 and I’m 21. He laughed harder than I expected. I wouldt make this joke if I knew he’d lol so much ![]()

When you keep getting new meds for your pill dispenser.
That is funny. Still can’t find that green lid for my shaker cup. One day had it now gone. I expect it ended up in the garbage.
Edit. I must say being old sober has to be greater than being an old drunk.
You know you’re getting old when you know how to tackle hard work efficiently and you are knackered afterwards because your body tells you you no spring chicken anymore missy
