30 day challenges

Checking in! Haven’t started off yet. Some bumps in the road this week, but have been keeping up daily reps like nothing (though only 80 pushups).

Y’all are an inspiration. :muscle: Weirdly anxious at the thought of running again lately, it’s been so long. But F it, I’ll give it a go tomorrow anyway!

Dropped 5 more pounds this week currently at 227 lbs. Want to get down to 215. Bern hotting it hard. Circuit train weights. Every other day 30 mins cardio abs. Following paleo diet!

ONLY 80 pushups?! That sounds like a lot to me.

Once you get your trainers on and hit the road/trail I bet you’ll settle in quickly enough. And if not 🤷 you will find something else!

Yesterday was a rest day for Burpees but got my yoga in.

Back to Burpees again today - 20 done, seemed harder than Thursday but I had a later night than usual last night so maybe tiredness didn’t help. The idea of doing 100 at the moment is pretty overwhelming but will keep doing one day at a time and see where it gets me. Where have I heard that advice before…:grin:

As a child, the skill you learned after walking, was running.

Slow progression, good shoes. Dynamic stretches and warm up before, deep static stretches after. Your cardio will improve faster than your muscles, bones, and joints. Your heart and lungs will want to go faster and farther, but it’s your muscles tendons and joints that need the slow steady progression.

Day 7 is done. I used to be able to do 0 real push ups now I’m up to 5 in a row

I’m not a fan of weighing myself often cause in my opinion how I feel about myself is way more important than any number can be, but today I wanted to know…I lost 1.9 kg since I stopped drinking 53 days ago while still eating whatever I feel like :joy: If I needed any more motivation to keep going this is it!

I guess? It was me doing as much of my old run as I could manage for the first time in 2 or 3 years.

Day 2 done. Reps and my weekend hike.

First three splits all under 16:00 which is an improvement. Somehow slower on the 3 miles back/downhill? Huh.

Day 8, feeling great! Well kind of. 30 Burpees was tough this morning, had a wobble at around 15  but today’s yoga camp video was a nice restorative one

Not surprising when you’ve got a view like that to look at! No point in going for a hike if you don’t slow down to appreciate the amazing world around you

(I may have also pet the goats on the way back.)
