@Sweetlillove yes how did you like Day 1??
Finished Day 8: Meditate last night which my mind thanked me dearly for and just finished Day 9: Divine which has me feeling fine! Lol I’m definitely finding it easier to really connect to my breathing and letting it lead my flow! Really enjoyed these 2 practices!! Hope all you ladies did too
Yes to the little changes… At some point you realise whoa I can do this thing I just couldn’t even think about a few weeks/months ago.
Day 15: Reveal Love the thing about just showing up. Keep showing up every day and things will change!
Just finished day 7! Loved it, but it seemed to be over sooo quick!
Skipped a day yesterday because I ended up rearranging all the furniture in my friend’s bedroom by myself, and was feeling that the rest of the day haha! Great workout though, and lovely opportunity to bless someone else!
Glad you made that happen. In my pursuit, forward folding is the result of a missed block of a groin kick.
Just finished Day 10: Expand very mindful of a strong foundation to help ground myself in difficult postures and positions. Same can be said for life. Also loved the part about self care and self love. You rock, I rock, we rock
Day 16: Dulce My dog kept coming up for cuddles on the may which was very sweet and fit the theme for today nicely!
Random trivia picked up at lunch, thought of the yoga troop here:
Proprioception, our innate sense of body parts in relation to its other parts, can be adversely affected by several factors including sudden changes in weight or flexibility and range of motion.
Anyone felt particularly clumsy lately?
Haha what a great word! I don’t think my flexibility has changed quickly enough for it to happen to me. What about you @anon62920945 with all your splits etc?!
Day 17: learn Missed a day yesterday as I just didn’t get round to it.
Lots of talk about showing up and being present, and using yoga as a way of finding yourself. Definitely rang true for me.
Hey lady, that’s what I’m doing today too. Been fabulous to be doing this everyday - whilst I’ve been away from here, I’ve been doing this along with a London friend to keep each other motivated. We then had a great conversation this morning about the healing power of doing this daily - it is helping to keep my head where my feet are, which is a constant challenge for me.
Missed yesterday (first time missed!) due to super busy day and knowing I would be snowed in today. Did Love (18) this morning and will do Listen (19) later this evening.
I’ve always struggled with yoga - doing it once in a while is hard and in a class, I tend to be super self-critical about what I can’t do. Doing this at home, on my own and without anyone else to compare myself to, with her positive talk, in short manageable chunks has really had a big impact on me.
Day 18: love
I am up wayyy past my bedtime but didn’t want to fall behind another day and figured an extra 20 minutes wouldn’t hurt. Glad I did it, feeling very relaxed and ready for snoozing
Hey y’all took the weekend off to celebrate my mom’s 60th birthday!!! But back at it today. Just finished Day 11: Courage feeling strong! Proud of everyone here for showing up for themselves and having the courage to live a life of sobriety
I always do my practice before bed! I find it’s sucha nice way to wind down, relax and clear my mind. But I can also see how it would be nice to start your day with it too
I find mornings easier to fit in as I leave for work fairly early and I am supposed to get to bed for a decent time… But another late night and evening yoga today!
Day 19: listen I love ujjayi breath, it’s so relaxing. Definitely something I apply off the mat to help get me through a rough spot in the day!
I’ve found myself gravitating towards midday for my practice; that’s when my anxiety tends to start getting to me, so that mindfulness & exercise break really helps get me back on track to finish the day strong! I love how easily adaptable yoga practice is to individual needs!
Girl as long as you’re getting it in that’s all that matters!! Keep rockin it
Well put and it’s so true!! That actually fits in nicely with the practice I just finished Day 12: Curate. Yoga has so many variations and principles- it’s so great for cultivating a practice that works for you. You can take what you need, leave what you don’t, challenge yourself or take it easy, just find what works for you. Listen to your body, shut your mind off as much as you can and most importantly show up.
Day 20: lead This one warmed me up a bit! Much needed as it is starting to get cold and frosty here
