Annual January Planking Challenge

Imma gonna be out on this… again, lol.

I just lose track and honestly with my other workouts it doesn’t align as I need to rest different muscle groups properly so they can be back in form for the next routine.

These daily sets just don’t jive… that said, I do have 6 low planks x 45 secs today on agenda this afternoon, but I gotta rest legs a bit as tomorrow it’s heavy leg circuit day whereas I’ll get 6x12 squats with 30lb ball.

Enjoy though folks.

Honestly, you can always modify, too. If you can’t get all the way down to a 90° angle with your squats, it’s perfectly fine to just go down as far as you can in order to get the reps. It’s all body movement and as long as you’re even just simply stimulating those muscle groups, that’s all that really matters. Should you push yourself? Absolutely. But modify what you need to in order to accomplish the goal. And then maybe next time go a little further, and a little further each time you do it.

There’s a guy at my Krav Maga gym who suffered a stroke a few years ago and half his body is only about 30% functional. But he still comes to class and throws down as best he can to keep up with the rest of us. He has to modify certain things in order to fit within his capabilities. But he will never give up, and that’s what’s important.

So push yourself but just know that it’s totally fine if you have to make things more specific to you and your needs. Just don’t give up. And push yourself to do better and better each time.

I love tou guys for this. Keep it going. You guys rock!
