What an angel
This is the “shakey foot” rule I’ve taught them. I say shakey foot and they have to hold my hand first then they get an almond. Most of them I’ve trained to do it. There are a few that a traumatised from bird life and are too cautious to let me touch them
Complete with halo and all!
Oh wow! Sounds like you really did get traumatised. Good thinking packing a bag
Surprisingly l was very calm at the time-dunno why?
Yes,apparently we in Melbourne have a family of falcons that nest in one of our high rise buildings every year.
They even have a CCTV setup up there to monitor them and their chicks, which is how they captured the birds reaction to the quake.
Gold! Aussie gold!
I just noticed something about the Lil angel dude… he has feet. But look above them and he has actual little legs ! Chunky little legs LOL!!
Those chubby lil legs probably help with his balance when he’s dancing. He does look like he’s on stage doing an act. He’s gotta impress the ladies including you.
Introducing my large parrots! Funny thing-they are not as lively and animated as your cockies!! l also have 2 live budgies, and they are much more fun to watch!

How true…!
That little baby one is so adorable!! Do you know where you got it from?
Wonderful photo!
Oh really? Got mine at Woolies. Just remembered-l’ve got a Maggie somewhere in the garage too! Just moved back to suburbia from the bush, and l’m really missing all the beautiful native birds l’d see everyday.
We are so lucky to have so many varieties and colours of birds that we do in Oz.
April, have you heard of the book ‘What Bird ls That’? It’s a large volume book that has hand drawn pictures of birds from all over the place. A friend bought me a copy from the Opportunity shop.
I use it all the time to identify birds.lt describes their calls, their habitat, food, how many eggs they lay, etc.
As the BIRD LADY,you really should look out for a copy. It’s quite a well known publication l believe.
Any new pics of your feather babies?
Any more progress with taming?
I’ll ask my neighbour (whose wonderful and huge fig tree is in the background of the pics) where she bought him!
He came to live with me for my 50th birthday when my dear neighbour/friend brought over my present of 50indoor and outdoor plants!!!🪴🪴🪴🪴🪴🪴🪴🪴🪴🪴🪴🪴🪴🪴
An overwhelming moment l can tell you!
Oh my gosh now that’s a lot of plant maintenance would definitely look beautiful but very time consuming looking after them making sure they stay alive !
Actually two new ones turned up randomly. A different breed from the sulfer created one’s…
Theses two are very long beaked . Very deadly long sharp beak
They have a pinkish face. I will google there name. I can’t remember what they are called. There common around here.
I couldn’t get a good photo.
