That’s a great start. Take ownership and don’t make big grandiose promises or excuses. She’ll appreciate the accountability, even if she doesn’t come around right away. Good luck!
Checking in sober, Day 103.
From today’s Daily Reflections: “We recovered alcoholics are not so much brothers in virtue as we are brothers in our defects, and in our common strivings to overcome them.”
Have a sober Sunday my TS brothers and sisters!
I have sent her an apology,.
For me, the anchor symbolizes home; the ocean. It’s it a symbol frequently used out east, in the Maritime provinces as they border the Atlantic ocean. Where I grew up. “Salt water in my veins” so to speak. Thus the Salty as well
There is an old timer who at every meeting says “Drinking is a baaaad idea…” but I still had to find out for myself. It happens. What is important is that you are back here! Ask yourself why it happened, what were you thinking/feeling right before it happened, and what will you do different the next time to make sure it doesn’t happen again. We’re here for you! “Day 1 is day Won.”
Day 129! Excited to enter the 130s tomorrow
Checking in. Start of day six. Tomorrow will be one week

Day two and the the sun is shining. My children’s dad will come to social distance and I will keep busy and happy for them. Always a channelling evening for me after that but I wont have a drink today come what may. Happy, healthy day to everyone

I think all whole numbers are milestones. They give us a reason to celebrate success.
This is so very true. There is a collective grief and sadness and chaos out there right now. So many of us are feeling it. There are also many many people raising us up thru meditation and mindfulness and kindness. Being gentle with myself and others right now is what I strive for. We are all doing our best in this new life.
Sounds like some beautiful dreaming. It is turtle nesting season here. They come back every year to their same beaches to nest. It is very magical.
You were almost my sober twin, you were one day behind me. You can do it again, I’m sorry you’re going through this, but just learn from it and hop back on the sober train i have faith. You’re not kidding having some sober time and then drinking is so dangerous, i pray everyday I don’t accidentally fuck up bc nothing good will happen. I will pray for you hazy. Congrats on day 1 don’t give up
