Thank you so much for sharing.
And for taking the time to respond. And youāre right.
I can only take responsibility for my own thougths, words and actions and try to treat people with respect, even if I donāt get that in return. Itās about who I choose to be or become as a person. Luckily, Iāve had a lot of good people coming into my life in the last couple of years and Iām very grateful for that. And I hope some day Iāll be able to work things out with my mom, too.
Best of luck to you!
Ah thats horrible thing for her to do. Is it not against rulesā¦ ? I have never had your strength to make it to one of these meetings so be proud that you are trying to fix thingsā¦ good luck and keep at it ā¦
Thatās awesome man, they look sick. I had to google it. Iām jealous of all you guys with these road bikes, my mountain bike is kicking my ass lol, I can still go just as far and itās a great workout, but I like the competiveness in myself and going for miles and speed and time. Sweet bike tho man, congrats
34.15 days! Today is a yoga and bubble bath kinda day. My happy mood streak took a dump. Listening to my body and resting. Happy Sober Day everyone! Oh yeah! I got all my Mothers Day shopping done alreadyā¦ early this year! I didnt forget. MOM, NANA, AND MOM IN LAW *The perks of sobriety *
Here she is in all her glory. Iāve had her for about 10 years, second owner, so thatās pretty cool. I used to ride everywhere, and then just got into this funk. Glad I never sold though!
Congrats man youāre killing it, I still remember youāre very first check in. Your quiet and donāt say muchā¦ You said your friend suggested this forum to you, and to check in everyday, and you have. And youāre just doing awesome, happy for you
@TeejLazer
Nice rig!!! Old school steel is hard to beat; rides like a dream.
You have paniers on there as well to carry stuff in. I like it!!! It appears to be in great shape. You have a couple of lights and are ready to roll!!!
Only thing I would do if you ride some distance is to put another bottle cage on there.
Thanks man. You are correct that I am quiet. My buddy did recommend this forum . He has been Sober for over 2 years. I wonāt mention his name but this forum has been a lifesaver for me. Reading others stories reminds me Iām not alone in this. I never thought anyone payed attention to me but you remembering my story was awesome!! Thanks again for support!
Day 5 for me. Had a horrible awful day at work today. I feel like Iām not handling the work stress as well as my coworkers.
I think Iām also still stressed and angry about last Friday drinking episode and upset that I finally realized I cannot win at the āmoderationā game and need to remain sober.
For being 35 years old, itās a smooooooooth ride. Panniers were crucial, as I used to ride to work, and one of the bags comes off, so it was also my work/lunch bag.
Definitely need a second bottle cage, once I start getting longer rides in. Currently, backup bottle resides in one of the panniers.
