Checking in Daily to maintain focus #13

This is so sad and scary. I pray that he finds himself seeking help one of these miraculous days in the near future. Have you been able to reach him yourself? I couldn’t imagine how you feel. Marc and you will be in my prayers.

Day 10. Struggling with temptations as is Friday. Neighbour’s next door are smashing drinks and normally I would be there with them. Found a beer my missus has hidden from me probably one time when I had enough. Would like to pour it out as doesn’t help this being here but she will then tell me I have drunk that. Will wait for her to come back so will do it front of her. Wish me strength sober people :pensive:

Day 184
Today was something different than the usual boring corona day. Sadly not in a good way. My stepdad suddenly got intense pain in his leg and became inable to move whilst standing. my mom asked me to help. Usually i’d panic and freeze, but i managed to get ahold of myself and actually help her hold him until the ambulance arrived. I think this might turn into a traumatic situation, because i held him whilst he was struggling to stay conscious. Not a great experience for a 17 year old addict. But there’s good news, I didn’t want to get rid of the pain, but I just allowed it to be there. Also turns out it’s just a jammed nerve and nothing serious.

So all in all, a horrific experience, but today was great if you look at recovery

Donna, I’ll pray that Marc finds some guidance in his HP and pray that you find some wisdom from your HP. Thanks for checking in!

Great minds and all that, as well as the proof it’s very empowering pouring alcohol away, 33 days ago I poured my last 2 cans down the loo, for once in my life I didn’t feel powerless and I’ve never looked back, well apart from just then :joy::joy::joy:

Dude, pour it out. She should be able to tell you did. Or drink it. Also, be careful, you sound like someone teetering. Keep focused and keep playing the tape all the way through from the last drunken debacle.

Oh boy Donna, my heart breaks for you. This is especially frustrating since you cannot immediately “do something”. Waiting is torture. I am pulling for you and Marc. :shamrock::shamrock::shamrock::shamrock:

Poured it out and recorded it in case she won’t believe me. Killed the cravings with loads of fruits and other food. Going to sleep it out. Good night everyone. New day tomorrow and hopefully will be easier in sobriety for all of us.

Awesome pic! The hill country is lovely in many ways.

Sleep is a great way to beat cravings!!!

Got a song to remind you of Texas.
