I don’t watch the news but is this bc of that cop killing that bloke or something else.
your doing great mate, I know someone who looks just like you, freaked me out for a minute bc he’s not been to AA for ages, pre covid, would have been good if he found this community bc it really does help. Now I suggest you get back in goal bc your lad is gonna run rings round you
Checking out. Got a sunburn and looking like a lobster.
Be safe everyone
Yeah, it’s related to that. We actually just had a officer involved shooting here two weeks ago, so things were already at a tipping point.
Day 16. Busy day traveling (by car). Will be doing more driving tomorrow so not looking forward to that. But then we will have reached our destination. And then no long drives for at least a month!
I was in a bad car accident when I was young, so driving really stresses me out. In the past, after a long drive, I would have a drink (or more) when I reached my destination. Not today!
I’ll be at 90 days tomorrow.
Still waiting for things to get better…I’ll wait however long it takes, but things have seriously only gotten worse for me in a lot of ways. I hate to be a damn baby right now…
I’ve grown SOOOO much over the past 3 months that I never thought would happen. On the other end of things, I’ve had to deal with A LOT of painful things…and it’s fucking killing me inside.
All I know right now, is that no problem I face in life can be fixed with drugs or alcohol.
Hope everybody is safe, and continuing on this humbling path of RECOVERY.
I love you all.
There are some good tennis elbow relief exercises on YouTube. I had a nasty case of tennis elbow for a couple of years, made lifting shitty lol.
Checking in on day 24.
Spent a fantastic, alcohol-free weekend out camping. Yesterday was the warmest that we have had yet, and it felt amazing to get some sunshine on the old body. Today it is rainy and miserable, so I am using it as excuse to enjoy a lazy Sunday at home.
²⁴³. I’m still here.
Day 218. Another day of family hiking after a lift, it was a good day. I hope Sunday was great to you all.
Nice shots! Beautiful
Have you tried any audiobooks? I have pretty bad a.d.d. Too and find learning easier listening rather than reading it… which seems strange but just how my brain works I guess lol
Good for you, resist!!!
Congratulations on day 16!!!
Tennis elbow sucks. I had it once and it was very hard to get over. Hang in there and walk or run instead of the bike.
One thing I found in my many years of cycling is that bike fit is everything. It is the difference of riding 100 miles pain free or a bad everything. I resisted having my bike fit for years and finally gave in at my bike shop. They convinced me. I will never buy a bike again without a proper fitting.
Day 16. Had some strong cravings today. The riots in Omaha ended last night with one black man (22 yrs) shot to death by a white club owner. We are on curfew. There are police all over my smaller town. The expectation is things will continue to escalate
Most rioters were not wearing masks. I am ready for a surge in C19 in a couple of weeks.
The cravings surround just wanting to shut it off. I don’t want to think about it. Having a tonic water and waiting for my meeting in 30 minutes.
I had a busier Sunday than expected. Got everything done that I needed to. Idk if I’m getting more done out of a subconscious effort to distract myself or of mental clarity and increased energy due to not drinking. Either way I’m happy w that. Hope everyone is doing well and achieving goals!
Checking in at the end of day 2. I had to reset again 🤦 Hope you all are safe, healthy and sober, where ever you are in the world. Good night TS folks
Briella, glad you are back at it!!
Good to see you are well and trying/posting again.
Hopefully you learned something that will help you this time around.
Thank you @ifs - for helping me with the math for this one I set 4 alarms too, just in case
