Hi everyone! Feeling like a champ today. It’s been a fucking whirlwind but so grateful to be here
I’m not a doctor, nor would a doctor diagnose you with anything at all based on what you are telling. And yes about the many false positives. So probably it’s nothing and I don’t want to worry you either. Still my bestie has been diagnosed with a Lupus like auto-immune disease with one of her symptoms being vasculitis of the small blood vessels in her skin, causing these typical red spots and splotches on her whole bloody, coming and going with time. What you are describing made me think of that.
Good job! 3 months! Way to go.
Well done, you! That’s a huge achievement. I’m on my first week of who-knows-how-many first weeks over the years but I’m glad to be here with you and everyone on TS doing it together.
That’s funny. I actually had to google it to get the proper name cuz I couldn’t remember Lutefisk. I just plugged in Norwegian Stinky Fish Christmas..
My good friends in Ausrin from Minnesota whose family came from Scandinavia somewhere use to tell me about it. He said they soaked the fish In lye?
Way to go on the week Kayla.
You too @RosaCanDo
Your workout is going to be awesome with a week under your belt. You’ll probably get a great natural endorphin feel after a good work out. And that comes without a hangover. Enjoy it.
Checking in day 67 happy Tuesday everyone
Checking in after another hike in Flag. Very spontaneous today. Loved it. Just asked the wife if there’s any chance she wanted to go on another short easy hike in town. She said yes. Did the 2 mile Continental Loop on Campbell Mesa Trail. Nice view of Mount Eldon and a little bit of the town. Felt great!! It seems like people all over the world love Flagstaff. I don’t know why yet. But I’m gonna learn. The weather does seem perfect so far. Although I always like more rain. It’s pretty dry, fire scary dry. And so far the 2 little hiking trails have been just right to get back out there. The old me would have gone out on a major long steep difficult hike. Got hurt, or just too achey and would have been laid up for days if not weeks. One day at a time. One little hike at a time.
I’ll share pics on another thread. Don’t seem right filling up space on the check in thread with hiking pics.
Loving being sober in retirement
I hope y’all have a great sober week.
@Clarity
Wow this gives me inspiration. I’m going to my first meeting tonight, and I was really excited but now I’m a little nervous all over again. I know I need this and hopefully soon a sponsor and start working the steps, so thank you for this!
Hi Jenna. The cinemas in the US are now adding alcohol. Not just beer and wine either. It’s a full stocked pub with everything you can imagine. It’s the 1st thing you see when you walk in. You place your order and they deliver to your seat while you’re watching the movie. You can then get refills using an app.
I did enjoy the movie, thanks for asking. It was called Unhinged. A thriller where I covered my eyes a lot. It was about a road rage incident and the guy turned into a stalker, then murdered a few people trying to get to the woman.
Right on. Your surroundings are amazing. Hiking trials, Snowbowl, the Grand Canyon is near, Sedona is near as well. Beautiful sights!! We actually live about 4 hours west of Flagstaff. We also travel through it when we visit family. My family lives on the Navajo reservation in Arizona. My husband loves the weather when it’s cool and always talks about purchasing some land in Williams, maybe someday lol. Hope you have an amazing week. Stay safe!! Send some cool weather our way:)
Yes! This helps a lot. I have less than an hour! Thank you for your input. I do feel better!
@Brookiemonster618 Way to hang in there and tough it out. I hope your day is better today. Almost 2 years, you got this
It was very beautiful. One of the nicest weddings I’ve ever been to. Drinking wasn’t even a thought but I did get entirely too excited that they had custom complintary coffee mugs and hot cocoa that I got to sip on as the evening progressed and it got colder outside. Made it home by 11and to work the following day. Thank you for asking!
Hitting day 80 tonight loving it and the forum helps a lot. First day in my new job today, sorta lol still doing a lot of work with the previous department until they get a replacement. Did find out that the house I put in an offer on was sold to someone else instead, kind of a bummer but these things happen. I hope everyone is having a great sober time!
I was gonna ask how it went. Glad to hear it’s going good so far. Congrats again! We do good… good things come back to us.
I like to think it works that way. It wasn’t bad, just going to be a while before I can fully transition. Getting in the seat though.
Congrats on 30 days!!
Hey hey! Thanks for the info :] I was thinking the same thing however if I’m not mistaken lupus comes with some pretty heavy symptoms. Besides these rash guys, I feel pretty healthy
