Don’t smoke Brian! Answer to your question seems to be yes, as I found after some googling. Still, if it smells like weed I think he shouldn’t smoke it inside. triggering for the other residents. Including you. And I want to applaud and recommend you for recognizing your abandonment issues friend. Means you’re working on them. Means you’re processing and handling them. One day at a time. That and what you’re feeling is a typical case of HALT too. You withstood the addict inside your head against both these foes. You’re strong. You’re awesome friend. Ya you!!

  1. After waking up af half past five and falling asleep again I had a number of dreams involving my dad. Makes for a reflective me this morning. I got some homework to do for therapy tomorrow. Probably no coincidence. I’m grateful I can do this work. It’s 100% because I’m sober and clean. Have as good a day as you all can friends. Clean and sober. Love from Amsterdam where I have one second shift to go before my weekend, and I was hoping for some more sunshine today. It’s OK.

Day 170

All okay with me…I think :joy:

Meds really make me tired but have to give them time especially the sertraline. No side effects or any like that.

Back to work this week after being off last week, didn’t do anything. Even before covid I prob wouldn’t have done anything, the anxiety always got in the way so I was probably drinking!

Meds also give me little motivation, usually spend a few hours on the PS5 in the evenings but end up watching a series which is good as it was something I used to enjoy.
Bed at half nine last night :joy:

Still have thoughts of drinking, not cravings, just thoughts so can deal with them.

Always good reading everyone’s check ins :slightly_smiling_face:

Have a fantabulous day :grinning:

Made it through the first 48 hours. Feeling a little better today. Up early and feeling good. I went to sleep at 7 p.m. last night and I needed it. My physical symptoms seem to be subsiding, usually by day 3 they do. I’m taking a break from my job doordashing because the extra money and time alone out of the house has not been good. It has given me the resources and the time to get into trouble. I’m going to live each day for that day and be in each moment. I really appreciate all the responses and suggestions yesterday. @Dolse71 @TSan @M-be-free49 @RosaCanDo stand out and always have great advice and just watching your journies has been so inspirational. I know I need to add something to my program. I tried an online N.A. meeting a while back but it was weird. It felt like I walked into an online singles bar verses an actual meeting. I immediately got strange PM’s from guys and I just didn’t feel comfortable. So maybe some suggestions of other online options. I can’t do too much in person because of covid. I appreciate everyone here. This place has been the first place that has actually made me feel like sobriety is worth it. I want to get sober so I can give everyone around me the best me I can give. Have a wonderful sober Wednesday everyone.

Here’s a list of online meetings that you can filter to show only women only meetings. May be of some help to you friend. Have a good sober Wednesday.

guys should not really be contacting you if at any point you don’t feel comfortable message the host and they will probably post a reminder. Alternatively just do women’s meetings like suggested by @Mno

Hey Briella, there’s woman in recovery meetings on intherooms.com. They are not NA or AA specific. All woman from all programs are welcome. I attend a couple nights a week when I can’t get to in person meetings and I really like them.

Here’s two links to help you understand a little more about CBD. Obviously like anything else it has pros and cons to it but from what I read from your post, if it smelled like weed then it was weed. Cbd typically doesn’t have a strong smell to it and from what I’ve come to know is it can either eaten or smoked through a pen which wouldn’t make a horrific dense smell but more like a juul or nicotine pen. And I’m not referencing vape pens lol those things have huge clouds and always smell fruity or like there’s freshly baked cinnamon rolls around the corner lol.
Anyways, hope this helps a little. I’m glad you stay strong through the tough times tho! Keep on keeping on!

If you can find them where you live, try Chimes ginger chews. I bring a whole bag every time I go backpacking. Perfection :ok_hand:t3:
