Didnāt want to miss a second day in a row so Iām here having a much later night than usual.
Iām feeling the depression ease ever so slightly, Iāve managed to keep getting myself out for a late afternoon walk every day, and I think thatās definitely helping a little, I do hope it starts getting easier to motivate myself for it though, and Iād like to get back out there in the mornings as well.
Some of you may recall that after 7 months 11days I smoked cigarettes for a period of 8 days, but then managed to switch to vaping as I had some liquids leftover from before I quit, well for the past 2 months and 8 days I have been tapering down from 18mg to 0mg, and today Iām 19 days off nicotine. Iāve been vaping 0mg during that time but I will run out of liquid tomorrow and Iām hoping itās not too hard to just stop. I should just be a habit now rather than a physical craving so Iām hopeful.
I still havenāt managed to regain control and get back on my diet, but I did make it to lunchtime before I binged today, which I am trying to see as a slight improvement on the last week where Iāve been bingeing as soon as the delivery service opens. Maybe tomorrow I will actually succeed, but Iām working on not beating myself up.
Amazing!! Congratulations
Day 84 here. Another busy week at work. Shouldnāt complain though, the money is good. This is the first weekend off in over a month. Spent last night and this morning wrapping my new bike with a frame protectant from a company called Invisiframe from UK, should of asked if anyone on here had any experience with it. As I was doing it I thought about how thereās no way in hell I would of gotten it done if I was drinking. It took me 5 hrs to do bw 2 days. Spent about 3 hrs trying to catch up on here today. So happy to see so many milestones!
@anon27700620 if you posted videos or more pics from your trip can you please send me the link? Egypt is def on my bucket list, Iād love to see any you would like to share
Today marks my first week. Was feeling a little anxious but ended up playing with my son and wife and made some dinner which really helped. Looking forward to focusing on another day tomorrow. Hope everyone is doing well.
Great job! Keep up the hard work !
Day 236.
Lots oā life on this thread today. I was thinking about that post from @Dazercat with the reading - the one about keeping a reservation - an āoutā to allow for future use (i.e. if āthisā happens, I get to drink, use, etc). And then I get on here and read and itās pretty inspiring how these reservations have been parked and the engines turned right off. One example comes to mind: well done, @Complicatedmama, for changing things up this year to honour your sisterās death anniversary. Thank you for sharing that.
Itās been a good day, a long day, and itās time to turn in soon.
We did another one. Another day. One by one. Just like we will tomorrow.
Gānight all.
Great job wrapping up your first week Andy. That is so wonderful.
And I just love when that little dog avatar of yours shows up on the threads.
Keep coming back. You worth it. And so is that wife and son of yours. And your little dog too
Early check-in on day 840. I slept well, better than expected.
In 7.5 hours my old apartment will be gone. No, letās say in 8 hrs. And I am still not nervous. Good me.
Thanks everyone for sharing their thoughts and stories. It helps tremendously on learning about me
520 Days. Iām still feeling exhausted from a long week. Didnāt sleep well last night because the dog woke me up twice to go out. I canāt be bothered to walk him when Iām half asleep so I let him out on his own. Itās 2am and I didnāt notice the deer in the yard, well he took off chasing them through the snow. I wasnāt about to go after him. Sure enough he couldnāt handle the cold snow on his paws and came home pretty quick. Hopefully heāll sleep like a baby tonight. Goodnight my TS family.
Congrats on not giving in and have fun watching. I saw who won the womenās final. I am not into it anymore. I have been a Pete Sampras fan and lost interest after he finished his career. I was wondering yesterday, uhhh I remember when wearing a slightly coloured T-shirt was discussed 20 years ago
