Day 221: Feeling good! Taking care of myself well and it shows. Making plans for my cooking projects this weekend and the rest of my time, it makes a huge difference in any cravings to have my time planned out, especially on weekends. Even idle time planned in there. It’s just about being deliberate. I hope you all are hanging in there. :heartpulse:

Question about nitro, is it pill or cream. If it’s cream you shouldnt come in contact with it. It can absorb through your skin and dilate your blood vessels…which would be bad for you. Just a little friendly advice…I hope your husband feels better…

It’s pills, I’ve never seen it in cream (or spray) outside the hospitals here. And I had no idea that you should avoid getting the cream on your skin. Thank you for the information.

He feels better thank you, but he is still really tired and we’re very careful.

I had this crazy “ah ha” moment during yoga… I thought, wouldn’t it be a dream to open my own yoga studio? It could have a juice bar!.. I got really excited and spent so much time thinking of all these ideas and what it would look like… I thought this could really be something I would love to spend my life doing! Then of course the doubt kicked in when my yoga high wore off and I started thinking “Who do I think I am?” And then of course I shared it with my mother in law who just bashed the idea with her negativity like she does with everything. She told me I wouldnt make any money doing Airbnb, I am so glad I didnt listen to her about that because now I am making so much passive income… She told me I would never make money in the stock market and I am thriving off of my investments so I know not to take it to heart. But it was a bit of a punch in the gut this morning.
Anyway, I decided I am going to apply for a job at the juice bar down the street so I can learn the ins and outs of the business so wherever we move I can begin opening my own. Starting there. I am not going to share my ideas with my mother in law anymore. I’m gonna keep dreaming guys and do what makes me happy.

Okay! I’m going to comment on how really confident I feel in my sobriety today! It’s a gorgeous day and my neighbor is mowing and I don’t care. I’m about to take a walk because I promised I would go a half hour ago and now I’m feeling responsible for dealing with this shitshow.

I will remind everyone about Guideline 13: Refrain from posting about politics.

It’s something bothering a member, okay. We do not need to debate it. Please let it go and move on.

Hi everyone! Wanted to give you all an update… the injury to my prostate was more like abnormal swelling from where they cut it the other day when removing the stint they removed the other day. All of the swelling went down and back to normal now so… drum roll please… They removed the catheter today with no complications and I’m 100% absolutely done and free from all things in my body!!! Almost 5 months worth of daily, sometimes excruciating pain of tubes and drain lines, internal stints and the catheter they had to put in Monday is officially OVER YAY!!! I am sooooo happy it’s beyond words!!! I’m free my friends, I am so grateful and happy I almost feel like crying. It’s been sooooo hard to deal with the daily pain and the emotional and psychological effects I’ve had to walk through and I’m finally done. Thank you so much for all of the love and support you have given me I truly love you all a lot. Thank you for being such amazing friends, better friends than I’ve had in real life at times and I cherish that I have you all in my life!!! Love you all have a great rest of your day/night!!! F**K YEAH!!! :sunglasses::metal:t2:

Joined this site for the first time today, after a realisation that perhaps I need to take more active steps to avoid recurring patterns of binge drinking behaviour. So, day 1 I suppose. Loved reading people’s messages of support to each other. I rang AA and have a zoom meeting tonight. I will just listen and observe. But it feels like a step. Wish me luck. Keep well everyone!
