Congrats everyone on all their days!!
I hear ya! My family was/is all about Android. Now my husband works for Apple! Andā¦ he is still the only one with an iPhone. Eventually we all will be taken down that rabbit hole I fearā¦
@liv_m Very nice numbers youāve got going on.
@Conor689908 Do what you need to do & take care of you. You will be missed.
@Jennajen Congratulations on 300. Your progress and strength are inspiring and I miss your updates.
@SoberGuyUSA Quadruple digits are amazing. Fanfrickentabulous
@Fnkychic Great job on double digits
310 days. Spent the day trying to ease my cramped toes and fingers. Anxiously awaited a phone call and didnāt hear anything! If I donāt hear anything this morning I will call them after lunch. Iām literally losing sleep and my appetite. Sent the letter to my ex this morning and his response just affirms what an asshole he is. Either way, Iām done and can begin to move past his abuses and my involvement. This has been a big step for me and Iām glad itās over.
Proud of you!!!
What an achievement
Xx
Posting here to cement my commitment in my heart to not drink.
Welcome!!! Glad you found your way here.
@SoberGuyUSA & @liv_m congrats to you both on quadruple digits!
@MissT congrats on 2 weeks
@Beforemy30s congrats on your week
@Mno Have a great 18 days off, you deserve it
@Jennajen congrats on 300 days
@Fnkychic congrats on double digits
@unheimlich welcome
255 days no alcohol.
223 days no cocaine.
A better day today. Gave my friend a lift to get his hair cut, whilst I waited I went to get a quote and subsequently booked my car in for full repairs on the week of 4th May Iām very excited about this because although itās something material, being disabled, my car makes everything so much more accessible, and Iāve had the money at various times over the past few years to have it repaired but had other toxic priorities, so this is like a sobriety victory for me and I feel really pleased about it
I also did my first walk in my new local area today, nothing major just to the closest post office and back so 30mins in total, but itās a start. The lake was so stunning up close, there were ducks and geese and they didnāt chase me . The sun was shining and I didnāt need a jacket. I posted the mail back that wasnāt addressed to me, posted my ballots for the local elections, and got proof of postage for returning my WiFi hub.
Iām now going to give my friend a lift to the emergency department, before coming home and winding down before sleep.
I really am loving life at the moment, and I have sobriety and all of you here to thank for that
Welcome Jude. Great place to get support. Hope to see you around some.
So Cool !! Congratulations !
First Day of work is over. Had suprisingly lot of energy after, so have made dinner, cleand bathroom, vacuumed and cleand 2 Windows
Hope you all had and still have a Great day
Hey! I know them, deployed with them as well. We were just getting email on the ship. It took roughly a week to send and email, and get a response back. (Because of security ect)
Hi all. I hope that everyone is doing well, and sober today. Iām into my eighth month, so thatās nice.
I suppose that itās one of the few things that I can be relatively pleased about with regard to myself.
Otherwise, Iām having a rough dayā¦ I get into this rut of depression, and I canāt seem to get out of it.
I invariably put on my favourite musicā¦ Mozartās Requiemā¦ itās really the perfect thing for depression, music for the dead.
Oh well, Iāll surviveā¦ Iāve regrettably survived for this long, Iām sure that I can keep kicking for a whileā¦ at least until my prayers are answered, anyway.
Iām sorry to be such a downer most of the time, everyoneā¦ what this site needs is a petition function to kick out depressed shits like me.
In any event, I hope that everyone is doing well tonight.
This makes me smile, Tyler. I am just so happy for you! You have been through so much in your recovery and you have gotten stronger for it. You deserve all the happiness!
Cool. My Dad was Navy.
USS Aldebaran
During his dementia days Iād whip out the old iPad and show him his ship. He was always so amazed and excited. He never got out of the Caribbean though.
Thank you for your service.
Actually as of late you have been noticeably upbeat and positive in your writings Fokusnik. Sorry that your depression has returned in force but thanks for your honesty and openness in sharing your moods and feelings. Life is hard and for some of us more so than others. Iām glad youāre sober and glad that you think thatās nice too. Iām not having an easy day too but not as bad as you. Take care my friend
PS. Since you told us that one of the main reasons for you to join la LĆ©gion Ć©trangĆØre was to die, you make me think of Lieutenant Dan in Forrest Gump. No disrecspect.
Iāve not seen the movie, so no worries !
Depression is like the tide, it goes outā¦ but always comes back in.
You would think that I would be accustomed to it by now, itās the most constant companion of my life.
Glorious! And the photo is pretty too Congrats on 250!!!
Thank you Rosa
