Welp its been 9 months, its hard to believe I found this group at 6 months sober and its even harder to believe that I made it more than one week without a drink. Thank you everyone for being inspirations of your own to everyone that is trying to get to that one week mark you can get here too just continue to believe that sobriety is going to be the better of the 2 options
That is pretty funny!! Years ago when I was actively involved in Women for Sobriety I was running a training session at work and realized the WFS tab was on the screen. I quickly closed the “share”, closed the tab, feigned technical problems, then resumed. Oooooooops!!
Congrats on Day 7!!!
@anon83587935. Well done!! Having had two children I know how long nine months can feel. Huge Congratulations to you!!
Congratulations Chris!!! Big numbers there. You must feel great!!
Happy birthday to big boy David! That will be fun!
Happy Sunday morning! I am happily on Day 58, closing in on my old TS record of 62 days. Not feeling any desire to drink. It is interesting, but when the thought crosses my mind, because it does, I think “I don’t want to feel that way. Out of control. Sloppy. Lousy the next morning”. And it is enough. This community and reading/
participating has been a game changer for me.
Today’s agenda includes food shopping, laundry, walking the dogs, making seitan and doing other food prep for the week. Nothing hugely exciting, but anything done hangover-free is, by default, fun!
Have a great day!
Nice! Add another 10 as in 101010 and convert from binary to decimal and you have the answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything - 42
Yours truly, nerding out on a Sunday morning at 169 days.
Bye for now…
Day 324 clean and sober today. Actually went to the gym yesterday and just did 45 minutes on the elliptical. I’ve gotten so out of shape from the surgery and procedures I’ve had to recover from. Last night I also jammed with my band for the first time in two years and it felt GREAT!!! Looking forward to getting back out and playing live again. Have an amazing day everyone, love you guys very much!!!
Congratulations bro that’s FANTASTIC!!!
Happy belated birthday Beth!!!
Happy Belated Birthday, Beth!!
I’m sorry I’m late to your party but that seems to be my MO around here. My daughter always reminds me that age is just a number and we’re only as old as we feel. Much love to you!
Washing the truck today. A thought popped into my head, my truck is just like me. It doesnt just get clean. It’s a constant process that takes work. I will chalk it up to my higher power telling me something. Might go hit a meeting. Feeling great, fun day planned with Ms. Monkey, just cannot forget the regular maitenance this old redneck needs to enhance and maintain my sobriety.
Awwww thanks Love you girl
Congratulations @liv_m great number!! I’ve been seeing 1010 all of the time over the past month, super cool
I love this thread, it is exactly what I need to wake up to every morning. Full of fresh faces starting their journey, familiar faces learning new ways and more familiar faces continuing to do what works. Its what helps keep me sober, watching you all put one foot in front of the other every day helps keep me sober!!! So thank you.
Congrats on your 9 months!!!
I see you working very hard on yourself and your spirituality, it is giving you a solid foundation for your recovery. Keep it up, you are on an upward trajectory!
Super job.
