Day 15. I am wiped out. Up at 5am this morning to drive down to Kansas City to tour the art college. Tired but itās so much easier to be tired than tired AND hungover. We had a great but very short trip, 3 hours down, 2 hour tour, 1 hour lunch, 3 hours back. I really hope kiddo chooses KCAI. !. Itās closer 2. I think the vibe fits better. I really liked the campus and the āfeel.ā It felt right for my kiddo. But I am only the Mom. 
Chicago is known as the best but I really donāt think downtown Chicago will work for my introverted, anxiety-ridden pal. Weāll see.

Checking in sober. Feeling a bit isolated today but I know that tomorrow will be a bit more interactive. Iām looking forward to a break in the workday tomorrow to go to the gym, get a flu shot and see my mom.
Thatās SO wonderful @Dolse71. Youāve been such a constant presence and inspiration to me and so many.

My one month sober ( in two days) present to myself. I bought her used. 
Iām feeling a bit down tonight but excited to start lessons next week. Iāve downloaded a couple of lessons I can follow along with on my own. I canāt wait a whole week. But it feels nice to have something to look forward too.

Iām happy you gifted yourself with making music.
What freed me from using was to pray on my knees every night before bed. Asking My Higher Power to keep alcohol and drugs away from me. And it s amazing to realise that it worked straight awayā¦My dealers donāt contact me anymore, although they used to call or knock at my door when I was silent for a week or so. Now if I think about alcohol during the day itās never to the point where I would decide to go and buy some. Most importantly, i donāt want to go back to that miserable life I use to have when getting stoned was my only interest in life.
Pray my friend. Pray until you get what you ve prayed for
