Day 97
Had to travel about 80 min to work today. Am working today with one of my other clients but he now lives in a diff house in a very diff area. I haven’t been to this area since I moved to Calgary, so it was actually very nice to travel a diff route! The area was beautiful (but apparently not very safe… at least at night). But I loved the houses. It was very quiet during my walk. I saw things that really grabbed my attention this morning. A beautiful little tree with these gorgeous pink flowers. I saw a house with a huge front window that had a plant stand full of beautiful green plants on it (this is something I really want. Having a house with a plant stand is sort of a goal for myself). I even realized that there’s this really super cheap grocery store that’s not far from where I live. I went by it on the bus. Will be going there next grocery trip  So far today is good! I got to work. The new house is unfortunately not a safe set up for the client I’m working with :frowning: so I’m not thrilled about that. We do have PPE but the space is small with lots of corners and places to be backed into. He has often also ran people out of the old house. This house is not easily accessible to run out of. The door leading to the outside is always locked and u need a key to get out. So this may pose problems. But I will do my best to be safe and observant
Hope everyone has an addiction free day!
Here is the gorgeous flowers I saw on my way to work:

Good morning sober troopers! Looking forward to my regular women’s meeting in the park this afternoon. Had coffee, now will try getting some work done. I know it’s Sunday, but I feel like I’m behind. Doing the solo mom thing I am often having to drop everything to drive across town to school or feed hungry people. It isn’t easy to fit in 8 hours of work.

Here’s a pic of the park where we hold our meetings. We have purple trees this time of year, called Jacarandas. Happy Sunday everyone!

What a beautiful spot Kareness. I hope your meeting goes well and you get some time in your day to focus on you amongst all the craziness of being a single parent!

Hello All! Checking in on day 3, feeling pretty good. Shoulder soreness from sober fall, but I think it’s getting better, hard to drive tho when I have to look behind me…(did it anyway, lol). Drove to the store to pick up an order and Mariano’s to get some glazed croissant donuts, they’re delicious!

Nothing special planned, hanging out with the fur kids, taking it easy. I have a lot to keep me busy but I still find issues with sitting still long enough to try and read anything besides this app. I wish it was a bigger screen.

Have a great day my sober brothers and sisters

It’s the Best!! I would often hold off driving in the mornings figuring I was still drunk from the night before (or a few hours before).

I love Jacaranda trees! Thanks for sharing the pic! We don’t have them where I live so it’s been ages since I have seen them.

4 months 22 days. Still sober.

Feel like standing still. Im filled with so much emotions, mostly angry, confused and scared/unsure. Something is going on, its not about me, but it affects me and mine. I have changed how I see a person, or, its more like: do I actually know this person the way I though I did?

Anyway, I keep sober. And try learning a language.
