Day 80
Excited to have entered the 80s now!!! Woo hoo!! I get super excited everytime that 1st number changes lol
Slept really heavy last night. Woke up feeling okay tho. Going to finish that dreamcatcher today I think and run an errand later. Other than that it will be a relaxing day. Nothing much to say yet lol

Dana I am so proud of you for making 80 days clean as fuck, working through work and relationship stress, and all the accumulated trauma you have been through. You got this girl, you’re going to defeat addiction!

Checking in, Day 27. Just finished my working week and had a bath. Already in my pjs by 5pm 
Had a good day so far. Worked quite hard but managed a walk in the woods during my lunch break. It has changed so much in just 2 days due to the rain and sunshine. Love it 
Also managed to go and vote so pleased with that. There seemed to be a steady flow of people which is good. Always a worry that people are so despondent that they don’t vote. I do understand their frustration but would prefer they spoiled their ballot.
An evening of reading planned which I am looking forward to. Hope everyone else is doing well.

Day 645
Haven’t checked in for a few days and just got caught up reading here. Spent time yesterday cleaning up the garden beds. Planting a few brassicas today and everything else will follow in a few weeks.
Woke up at first light this morning for who knows what reason. Turns out my father also couldn’t sleep and was up early. We had cold brew on the deck, went out for breakfast, & ran errands. Hanging outside and enjoying the sunshine the rest of the day.

Day 80
I finally got my “#1 Teacher” dreamcatcher done! Really quite happy with it! I am finding that being clean and sober is really opening up my creativity and I’m enjoying the process of creating something unique and personalized for each person!
Now to have lunch and head out before it downpours. Hope everyone is having a great day!

Back to acceptance - how can I ever expect to feel safe and secure in a relation, if I’m not safe and secure with myself ? And how could I ever offer it to a loved one, if I don’t offer it myself ?

It sounds like you are having a time of reflection. I think you have a lot to offer in a relationship, but it is always best to accept yourself first.

Hahah yeah man!! So excited!! Getting to the big 2.0 is going to be surreal. It’s crazy how much a couple years of sobriety can change your life.

Still day 4. Finally got what I needed done with work and made it to the airport. Waiting at the gate to board. Looking forward to having a good sober trip. I know others in my family will drink and they will have to go through the motions of waking up with a hangover. I am so glad that I can focus on staying sober and waking up and being ready to tackle every day and enjoy every moment on this trip.

Exhausted from work, I actually changed jobs during this short period of time and I knew it was going to be hard,… but waiting one more day, or one more week, or even a month to be sober was out of the question.
Time to deal with real life and all the big or small changes.
