#Day 1412
Sunday! A one day weekend for me.
Counting down the days before my 3 weeks holiday in Turkey. Going to travel around a bit.
2 weeks of hard work to goā¦
Sharing my new candle light with changeable text, I like it!!
Have a good day sober peeps
update forgot you (most of you) canāt read Dutch!
Translation:
āJust now
when everything wrinkles
hangs and streches out
am I surprisingly
feeling very
well in my skinā
My own translation so not all perfect but now you understand the text at least a little bit
@Its_me_Stella I love reading your posts when I see themā¦ so insightful and thoughtful, they always seem to put my head in the right recovery space.
@Piglet86 I hope you made it through your evening good. I know that we always tell people to only worry about today, and that is very solid advice. I would like to add after reading @Its_me_Stella post (she promised herself 1 year no matter what and I promised myself 1,000 days no matter what) that setting a hard line like that got me through some really really rough timesā¦ times that lasted over a month. Just thought maybe it would help you. I wish you well.
Checking in here. 9 months of freedom for me!
This is my note of appreciation to this group and for this app.
I check in here every day, sometimes quite a few times a day. It has been very very helpful.
9 months is the longest I have been clean since 1992. Yes, that was for the birth of my younges child who is now 30 years old.
I feel like Iām bringing myself into the world now with all my presence in all the parts of my life. Im fortunate to be here and be healthy. Im fortunate to be in a good marriage and have good relationships with most of my family. Im fortunate to have a rewarding job that challenges and fulfills me with much less stress than the previous position.
Im so grateful for all of the information that is available about addiction. I really was drinking like it couldnāt be a problem and that the solutions were not for me. I was wrong and Iām so glad to have access to this community and all that is shared.
It has been work to get to 9 months, but it has been very rewarding to do it too. I highly recommend leaving alcohol behind and digging into your life to find yourself and bring your best self to your life.
Have a great day everyone. I appreciate all of you and this community more than you know.
Day 7 checking in. Last Sunday was my day where it went totally wrong but I see it also as a positive thing. After that I came to the insight I donāt want this anymore
I think it was you who mentioned it here that got me to check them out. It was someone here who said they purchased some a few months back.
Thank you as I use them all the time ,!! Its amazing how we help eachother with out even realising sometimes they make the meditation much more stronger I have found.
Agreed on making the meditations stronger, they definitely make it more immersive for meā¦especially if I am listening to meditative music with binaural beats (which I do a lot). I cannot remember who first told me here about them, but I so appreciate it!! I LOVE mine.
