Made it one week!!
Congratulations on your 1 week Nikki
Congratulations @SassyBoomer ! looking good! Yes, that was so nice of them to send you a going away gift! Yay to the glasses and the fresh air! Always reward yourself, these are huge accomplishments! Super proud of you.
I wish you could just stay away from your uncle. Barring that, just disregard anything he says. We already know he is rude, crude and nasty. Children are heavy! And get heavier every day. You will build up your strength. Have to eat to do that, too. Hope tomorrow is a better day for you.
Hello one and all,
Today I finished half a year without booze.
I hope everyone has a nice time of the day!
Congratulations! Wonderful achievement!
I am kinda glad the work is making you want to eat. Nourish yourself, so you can be your best self for those kiddies. You are working at a kindergarten or something right? Those little kids really need a person they can trust and get affection from at school. I think it will help you feel you are achieving something. And their shenanigans always give you plenty of stories.

A productive sober weekend. Lots of cooking this afternoon. Iâve been working out on weekends instead of going to the gym early on four work days, which has been a great swap to my routine.
My relationship with my husband has been really nice lately too. More time actually spending time with each other instead of getting drunk together. Itâs so nice to sit back and appreciate that, and how far weâve come. We used to have such shitty drunk fights, I donât miss those.
I moved my snake into his new house today, heâs loving the extra room.
I wish you all a sober day, stay awesome everyone

Coffee. Free Sunday. Sober and clean. One day at a time for all of us. Whether on day one or day 10,000. Weâre all winners just as long we donât pick up that first one.
Doing nothing special today. Living my life. Have as good a day as you all can friends. Love from Amsterdam.
@Planipennia Huge congrats Matti! Awesome job!
@Butterflymoonwoman I know how great it feels to get some recognition for what you do from the folks you do it for. Doesnât happen often to say it lightly. Happy for you!
@nikki666 One week ! Yay! Thatâs huge!
@Lovelylisha Hope you made it through the party sober.
@Minatasha I feel (for) you friend. The contradictions in the last paragraph you wrote are heart wrenching. Itâs bloody addiction. Keep working on the sober you. ODAAT. Hugs.
@Miranda Another victory Miranda! Yay you!
@Juli1 Thatâs Recovery for you Julia! Great progress. Makes me happy to see it happening.
@SadMemeQueen I feel youâre doing much better than you think. Keep going. Hugs.
@Alycia Another fine example of Recovery in progress. Great stuff, thanks for sharing!
Another day 5.
Could be better, could be worse.
One day at a time.
Take care all.
Congratulations to freaking 7 days!
@BrianP Yes speak with your dr, I hope they can help in some way. (they usually can)
Your doing so well, well done for not giving in. Remeber this feeling today of waking up sober and how you got through it incase those feelings pop up unexpectedly again. You know waking that morning after sober feels good, and the drinks just not worth it.
Iv been eating more lately, not feeling too good about it but not enough to dwell on it. I enjoyed eating it and my body needed it. Your doing a great job staying sober and your ankle healing up you prob need it, your body way of helping you heal.
@ASpray congratulations on your 5 days your doing brilliant, good to see you stacking up those days.
@Alycia its great to hear things are going well for you, and your happy in your relationship. Congratulations on 151 days
@Planipennia congratulations on your half a year sober
@SassyBoomer Lovely glasses and pic of you and your grand dog. I use the patches for quiting smoking itâs almost been a year now its a tough one as can cause anger and irritability when cravings come and the patches stop this. Your doing brilliant!
@nikki666 1 week is amazing, congratulations
@anon53116147 hopefully you feel settled soon, your doing so well, and it can take time to adjust back to things just stay strong and enjoy the camping. Super proud of how far you have come, the effort you have put into this is inspiring.
@SadMemeQueen You are doing amazing. There is always going to be someone that will try and make you feel bad when they see you happy and progressing, the best thing to do is totally ignore it like you never even heard it.
Your better than that to be put down when your doing so well so just dont even let the comments consume any part of your day.
Stay focused on your goals because you matter and thatâs all that matters is you are doing it for you and your doing well. Sorry you have to put up with that but all you can do is just not let it even take up a second of your thoughts. Because you know your better than to believe some nasty person who wants to stop you being happy and moving on happily, so dont let it. All you can do is control how you react and my advice would be it cant do you any good dont hold onto it or even let it sit in your head laugh it off in your head quietly and keep carrying those feelings of how proud you are of yourself for the day those feelings you keep with you. Your doing so well.
Well done!!
Good on you for resisting those urges!
Morning all. Checking in on hopefully my last Day 4. Went to my first AA meeting yesterday. Wasnât sure what to expect, but gonna keep trying new things till something sticks. The people were really cool. Gonna try and find a newcomer meeting and see how that one goes. Sharing in person is a hell of a lot more nerve racking than doing it online. But theyâre both great. Anyways have great Sunday .
Thank you for the support. Itâs such a morale boost to have the support from people on here
Hope you are well
Hey all, checking in on day 805. I hope everybody has a good one!
Day 89. I had the craziest relapse dream it felt so fricken real⌠I woke up crying saying how could you do this again. The only part of the dream I found chomical is someone saying boy he really does drink alot when he gets drunk .bbut boy did I feel that dry mouth and feel hungover like crazy⌠so glad to be gone camping much love
- Had a rought night sleep and of course woke up really early. I have too much on my mind and too much to do. I can usually break it down into a list and make it more manageable but itâs just not working this time.
I have had these dreams too, especially earlier in recovery. And that sad regretful feeling of âwhy did I throw my time awayâ helped to remind me that yes, I do need to stay sober.
