714 days of continuous sobriety
Wondering what lifeās gonna be like forever without alcohol, how Iām gonna cope with certain things is daunting as hell if you think to much about it. Thatās definitely what screwed up my sobriety previously. Thatās why this time I really donāt care what day Iām on, or when Iāll hit milestones. Iām just concentrating on just right now. Youāre doing great.
Welcome. Congratulations. 714 days thats excellent whatever youve been doing continue, its working.
Same here @Jasty2 i have a plan in place for tomorrow which is always a difficult day but before that i have today. Which reminds me I must say āToday Col, you are not drinkingā. Once that clock reaches 5.30 pm I know Iwont go to the pub and I also know I wont be missing out on anything.
I ride a bicycle 25 miles a day with 50 pounds of gear and I joined a Krav Maga & fitness gym about a year ago. Helps keep me healthy and confident so that I feel great, inside and out. Like, you know, endorphins and dopamine and stuffā¦
But what really works is 15 minutes of Christian meditation every morning (an app called Abide) and a conscious contact with God throughout each day.
Hey all, checking in on day 825. I hope everybody has a good one!
Thank you!

My friend has told me about some recruiting happening at her workplace. Itās a government roleā¦ Iāve made a pretty big decision to take a stab at applying for the position. Itās going to be super challenging, rewarding and has tonnes of opportunity for growth and career progression. Itās a pretty massive jump in a whole new sector for me, but something I feel I am capable of. Itās super exciting and daunting, Iād have to travel into the city for it and it would be a decent pay jump. I can feel an exciting shift happening for meā¦ I really hope I get to pursue this new chapter. Fingers crossed for me guys! I would have never have been able to apply for this kind of work if Iād stayed working around booze, and drinking all the time.
Ohā¦ and I got my first grey hair yesterday
28 days clean and sober! Woke up realizing I can be a designated driver lol.
Best of luck to you. I have heard grey is the new black. Embrace it with a smile.
Hi thereā¦new to the app. Starting day 2 of my journey. I hope to have a positive day and hope
you all do too!
Welcome, Beth! Iāve found this place to be a great resource for sobriety. Congratulations on 2 days, and keep up the hard work!
Hi all, checking in on day 463. Back home from a work trip. I love to travel, but it can be so tiring. Happy to be back home having a quiet morning coffee. Wishing you all a great weekend.
Hi there Beth. Welcome. Have a look around there is a thread for everything here.
Day 827 clean and sober. I normally work 6am-3pm during the week and had been working 9:00am-6:00pm on the weekends but my boss is allowing me to start coming in and working 6-3 on the weekends now which is a huge win for me here at work. Iām excited to be off earlier even if it is just a few hours. Now Iāll have more time to go outside and play on the trails after work Being in nature has become one of the greatest tools for me. Itās the only place that I can get balanced mentally, spiritually and physically all at the same time, I love it so much. I hope everyone has a beautiful day today, love you guys very much!!!
Congratulations to 11 nice month of soberness!
Iāll cross my toes for you too good luck!!!
Oh and @Alycia whatever you do DO NOT pull that grey hair because 10 more will come back!!! They say itās an urban legend but I did it years ago and itās true Congratulations on the new job opportunity that KICKS ASS!!!
