Dude huge congrats on your six months! That makes me so happy! I remember my rose coloured glasses coming off around that time. Thereās also the milestone malady that can add some nastiness aorund this time where we feel like we should be and feel a certain way. Well fuck that. Be extra vigilant Mike, donāt let any nagging thoughts make you question this path youāre on. Double down on the self care these days and by that I mean deadlifts - joking, not only. You know what you need to stay stable and purposeful. You got all of us cheering you on buddy.

Have as good a day as you all can friends. Clean and sober. Love from Amsterdam.
@anon53116147 6 Months already Mike! Huge congrats. Keep going. Good days and bad ones.
@Cjp 9 months! Yay! Congrats.
@SadMemeQueen 9 Months too! Thatās an awesome Megan. Be very proud. I am of you.
@JP123 Big congrats on your various milestones!
@anon9289869 No advice really friend. Just to make up your mind (you seem to have done so already) and remind yourself of your reasons when it hurts. Choosing you -the healthy you- is the right thing to do. Hugs.
Day 8. Awake at 3am and couldnāt get back to sleep. Had really disturbing dreams and my headache is back full force. So glad itās Friday. Work has been a major struggle all week with me feeling like crap. Iām also in a bad cycle of going to bed way too early then waking up really early. But evenings are super hard so going to bed early seems like the safest option. I guess one this at a time. Iāve at least stayed sober for a full week. Therapy today which Iām looking forward to. I just really need these headaches to ease up. Iām losing all patience.
@SadMemeQueen Congratulations on your 9 months yayyyy
Im glad to hear that your grandpa seems to be getting better and that they think he is well enough to either be home or at a rehabilitation place instead of hospital. Although still worrying try and have some food and i hope you get to see him too, but if you dont remember his in good hands
@Scorpn 6 months today huge congrats
@cjp another hige congratulations on your 7 months
@Ktorres 20 days is amazing ! congratulations
@ReeBee28 So happy to hear your home wishing you a speedy recovery
@anon53116147 congratulations on your 6 months, its great to see your strength and your inspiring seeing you come so far. So proud of you !
@KarenKW Huge congratulations on your week, migraines are the worst i find a naproxen (strong ibuorofen) and a dark room and vitamin c/orange juice can slightly help. Wishing you well
@CATMANCAM i think i missed your 300 days so congratulations on your 843 days and your 308 days your doing brilliant, and the fact you got your therapy is huge, your helping yourself with the longterm healing. Proud of you
@Nordique 900 days is huge! Congratulations
Iv had some Good news the past few days but its also full of some trauma bad news too, im not expecting anyone to understand as its something i havent opened up much about here as this is my safe place to stay sober and stay sober and be supportive to others (its just too tricky and traumatizing to go into) and i prefer not to talk about it, its how i get through each day.
I am getting therapy and help for it i just wanted to say atm im doing more reading here then writing, sorry i am just on a bit of an emotional rollercoaster and keeping things simple in my life for a few days while i digest whats happening whilst still navigate my life sober, so apologies if iv missed some of your sober times or seem only half here.
I am reading, i am here if anyone needs me
Today im going to keep busy and tonight have my favourite dinner to cook and just keeping it basic for a few days.
Being here knowing your all here is helping me so much so thank you all.
@KarenKW Sorry to mention this if you already have had it checked out and but have you had your blood pressure taken ? As this can cause headaches too i say this from a caring place not trying to be nosy jus thought it could be why the headaches arent going away and i care that your okay
I probably do need to have that checked! I appreciate the suggestion. My doc appt this week was virtual so things like that didnāt get checked.
Thats the thing with drs, appointments these days there all virtual or over the phone.
Near where i live in the UK some chemists have machines to check.
It might be worth seeing if you can have it checked
Im so proud of you getting through the week and staying so strong especially whilst being unwell.
It will all be worth it i just hope you do start feeling better asap
Congratulations to half a year of sobriety!
Congratulations bro heck yeah!!!
Day 903. Canāt sleep heading to the gym. Have a great day, love you guys
61 days! My longest stretch of sobriety this year! That feeling of sobriety as freedom, not a restraint, is clicking into place! Free from hangovers, anxiety, wasted time, shame and all those other goodies that alcohol brings along.
@Butterflymoonwoman I canāt wait to see the finished product!!
@JDHealing Iām so happy youāre getting to hang out with your niece! Iāve had the same experience with my niece and nephew (on many occasions actually) and it does feel so good to be trusted again!
@KarenKW I was going to suggest a blood pressure check. My drinking caused blood pressure/heart rate issues, which in turn was causing headaches. I take propanolol now and it helps with all of the above. Worth getting checked out!
@Twizzlers I too find myself being just a reader when Iām dealing with some emotional stuff. I sincerely hope whatever youāre facing eases up for you very soon.
Checking in on day 154 AFā¦5 MONTHS!!!
Iām so grateful to have as much support and ātoolsā as I do. There is no way I couldāve made it this far without all of it. And you guys! I may not be the most interactive on this forum, but it is part of my daily routine (multiple times of day, of Iām honest). So thank you all!
Today is going to be a great, sober day! And I hope it is for you too!
Congratulations on your 5 months!
I wish you a positive and wonderful day
Checking in. Day 55.
Checking in, Beginning Day 3 - the furthest Iāve made it this time around. Feeling positive, my family and being more present for my daughter are a driving motivation. A little nervous about a dinner at a nice restaurant tonight with Dad but I keep telling myself that I was able to maintain sobriety for almost a year once before, so I can do it again This time of year is going to be a more of a test with holiday festivities I know
thankful to have found this community, it definitely gives me something to fill in all the time I would think about drinking!
