Hello all,
Checking in for the week sober.
Thanks
Sober today; I have fatigue from being ill for 3 weeksā¦. Iām hoping I will get back to 100% ; I have never been ill for so long. Taking it easy and slow, sun is out birds are singing and having jacket potatoes shortly with my kids (on half term)
Day 259. Only took the weekend off and I couldnāt believe how hard the gym was yesterday, must of been all the carbs I ate at my motherās this weekend. Didnāt even realize today was Valentineās day so Iām a little upset I didnāt do anything for my girl while I was up. Iām doing ok otherwise I suppose, sometimes idk how Iām really feeling, I feel enthusiastic. Iām grateful for another day to be the best I can be, grateful for this app, grateful for a phone to keep in touch with my girls, grateful for a 1 on 1 session with my counselor today. Much love
Day 31.
Been feeling fatigued all day and the PAWS are still kicking my arse. Other than thatā¦ Iāve made to one full month! If I wasnāt so tired Iād probably happy dance or something
Congratulations on 1 month @Amy30
And Iām late to the party but wow @Twizzlers and @RosaCanDo 500 days!! You guys rock
Congratulations to your first sober month!
40 days today! It really seems like it was just yesterday I was starting this journey and all of a sudden I am at this milestone. Had a great conversation with my cousin Sunday and we caught up on the phone for 2 hours talking about work and health and faith. It was so interesting because my cousin was actually the person who gave me my first beer at age 13. During our conversation he mentioned he had been feeling called to change his habits and drink less/avoid it altogether. Our family has a history of alcoholism and we talked about our grandfather who made the choice to quit drinking and became the best influence in our lives until the day he died. I shared with him my sober journey and he was really supportive and happy and from our faith perspective we both agreed the conversation reaffirmed the decision to change our habits! For anybody just starting your journey, one day at a time really works and each day in itself is an incredible milestone when you choose not to use your substance! So celebrate each day and before you know it youāll have a string of good days to look back on!
Sorry. Couldnāt resist.
Iāve been googling ābug hugā gifs all morning for you.

Got the results back from my Diabetic Eye Screening, and I have the first stage of Retinopathy. This is quite a shock to me after only being diagnosed 14 months ago, and the fact that I am already on medication for blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood glucose. It says there is no treatment at this stage, but I am concerned for my vision in the future.
Went for an early walk in the cold fog, which was refreshing, then by the time I just went for my afternoon lake walk, the fog and sky had cleared and the sun was shining. Itās always good to get out, but itās extra nice when itās sunny.
I received an email confirming that the Physio company have received my referral re my back, they sent a link with some exercises I can start doing while I wait to be seen, so I have started them today.
It may seem like I have a lot of counters, but honestly, there are more. This disease affects every area of my life. I am quite proud of my takeaways milestone today, regardless of still battling my eating disorder. From where I was at, consuming 2+ takeaways every day, to where I am at now, itās major progress for me, and it took years of trying, to get to here.
Thatās so creative of Lego! Love it!
