Checking in daily to maintain focus #56

10.57 days sober
65.55 hours no vape

I got through my hardest part of the day no vape, waking up

I am as sober as a cup of coffee and without the vape, it took a few days, but I’m smelling so much better
My breath smells better and everything

I swear my breath smelt like pure nicotine from the vape. I smelt it everyday on my break while I vape

Time to change hours no vape to days no vape

Is there a different med a doctor could prescribe that would help address the symptoms you are describing?

How have you been doing otherwise?

@pagan I hope you had a great time celebrating your wife’s bday. Cake, pizza and Netflix sound like an ideal night. Love that you have a project (fixing your bike) and will be planning an adventure (riding off to the mountains) – I do hope that you are able to make this happen once your ankle is healed – sounds like a therapeutic ride. I do love all the extra times we now have that we aren’t chained to our DOC – have fun with it.
@noshame well done on 2+ days of no vaping – I do hope today wasn’t as stressful as you had imagined it would be without vaping. Just saw your update and so very proud of you!
@beeinreallife I know we all go through the lull and have moments of hopelessness – so grateful that you were able to feel the feelings and get yourself out of it. Great idea on one item per sticky note and making a list of things to accomplish. Lovely way to start off the weekend. Hope you have a much better day today
@geng SO lovely to see you doing so well all around – with sobriety, staying accountable, adjusting to the lower dosage on meds, living life! Grateful that the walks are helping – lovely fresh air in your lungs is always a good thing for quality sleep.
@amy30 OH Amy – that is a shitty headspace to be in. I am so sorry! Your home does not sound like a safe inviting space for you. How long are you staying here (I get the feeling that you move around a lot and are not in any one place too long – is this correct)? Hopefully you are able to treat yourself and hoping the outing at the café helped. Hang in there Amy – maybe call your therapist if you are able. We are here if you just need to vent (sometimes we don’t know what is bothering us so everything ends up bothering us – that is ok – we just need to let it out and express it so it doesn’t fester)
@dryln785 Fingers crossed that you start feeling better soon and the treatment plan is helpful!
@sabrina80 well done on listening to your body and adjusting accordingly. Love that you are living your life now! How cool is that – no more alcoholic behavior to hold you back
@rob11 I know you are going through a lot but wanted you to know that you are making great progress. I do hope that you do enjoy your vacation and are able to relax and have fun. Are you able to contact your therapist if needed? Do know we are just a click away if you start to feel overwhelmed.
@Jasty2 welcome back Joe – I can understand the not wanting to post if you haven’t been 100% sober but at the same time sometimes it takes writing it out and the help of the community to keep you on the track. You know your self the best so just happy to have you with us again. I do hope the anti-anxiety meds help.

checking in on Friday morning - HAPPY FRIDAY!
Made it 7 months AF - Thanks to all of you!. I am going to try to have a super productive self-care day today. Trying not to focus on only the positive. Mind over matter. Here is to another addiction free day my friends - sending much love

Been away for a bit but here I am again on day 2. Went to my first ever AA meeting yesterday and found it very helpful. Appreciate you all that share and encourage us who are struggling. Head aching today and only slept a few winks last night but know that will pass soon. :skull_and_crossbones::no_entry_sign::pray:t3:

Nicely done, friend. I don’t see it as “somehow,” I see it as a commitment you’ve made and you’re putting the work in. Hang in there.
