Today I decided to throw my pipes away. I wasnāt tempted to smoke because I have no tobacco. They lived in my pocket for a lot of years and I had mixed feelings about just tossing them.

Quick late night check in. I felt pretty good today. I was offered the night off, which never happens, so I decided to take it. My daughter was off to her dads and I went over to an old friendās to visit with him, his wife, and their 2 month old Still has that new baby smell, mmm.
I did some laundry right before the mat closed. It was peaceful there all alone. āSplashā was on the tv. It reminded me of my childhood.
Now just chilling with my friend Netflix until bed. Which is soon. Goodnight everyone! Have a great 24 hours!
@Alisa thank you it has definitely been beneficial, Iām grateful for it š©µ
@EFountains belated congrats on your year I like all of your āsince thensā.
@Qhob13 thank you Iāve definitely got some extra tools. Thank you for sharing what your therapist said, I donāt know what stops me from crying, but since Iāve been on Tesosterone and MH meds, I have only cried twice in a decade, once when my cat passed away suddenly, and another time when I watched A Star is Born. Maybe I need to watch a sad movie or something. š©µ

@JazzyS thank you I hope yours do too I think I will have to book in another appointment with the physiotherapist because Iāve been waking up in the worst pain all over, itās hard to shift and so tiring and miserable, but we must keep moving! I donāt know if Iād be allowed to do it again, as itās a BPI (Brief Psychological Intervention) which resulted from my GP referring me to the mental health team, then they assessed me and put me forward for it, Iāll just have to keep working on engaging my āsootheā system, and that should help. I will ask some questions re going forwards in the final session on Monday. š©µ

Another friend from my coffeeshop / weed and hash smoking days died this week. If my sexuality wasnāt that confused back then (it still is actually), we might have been something too. Lung cancer. 52 y/o. Fuck addiction. Take care of yourself and each other. And have as good a day as you all can friends. Sober and clean. Bye Nicole. Rest easy girl. Love.
Sorry for your loss.

Checking in for the last few daysā¦
Just using lozenges and mouthspray now. Managed to speak to the nurse finally, and some lower strength lozenges are waiting for me to collect from the pharmacy, so I can step down even more when I start those. Itās been a really long journey but Iām finally seeing a light at the end of the tunnel with this quit.
Binge-eating has been the worst itās been in a while, and bcuz of the sugary stuff Iāve been consuming, and the insomnia lately, Iāve been sleeping a lot this week. Yesterday was the first day I was awake all day.
I have my tenancy inspection next Tues so Iām in the process of decluttering and cleaning in preparation for that. I find it so hard to do these things but I usually do end up getting them done, and usually at the very last minute, but I want to get it all done over the weekend because Monday is my final therapy session so Iām out most of the day for that, and it might be emotional again so Iām thinking Iāll only be capable of doing some finishing touches around the flat.
I had to reset my impulsive spending counter yesterday on day 56, my longest streak so far. Hopefully will go longer this time, atleast the counter seems to be helping.
I started catching up here at 4am, it is now 7:30am! (itās 8:20 now bcuz I had to wait for someone else to post, so I did my physio exercises then I am now able to post) The sun is up and doing itās thing already
Wishing you all wonderful sober weekends.

I am sorry for your loss, that is so young. Thank you for sharing and for the beautiful photo
Glad to see you here. Hope you are OK, sounds like you are going through something right now
Saved by a stranger
(A real life comedy)
Yesterday I went to the leisure centre for some relaxing TLC
Sitting in the spa area after the first round of sauna I saw something move in the corner of my eye. Turning my head: a cat sized (2 cm) spider on the chair next to me. Eyes fixed on the monster I slowly get up and back away, carful not to make any sudden moves. I open the door to the sauna and ask the couple men sitting in there very damsel-in-distress-like: āone of you guys good with spiders?ā
And yes the superhero still wearing the cape in sauna (yeahā¦ not really) gets up, and without hesitation grabs the enormous spider with both hands (three fingers)
Me getting spooked by eight massive legs kicking to get free runs into the steam room, holding the door shut from the inside
Waiting for the superhero (still NOT wearing a cape) trap the spider in a waterbottle (probably using magic getting it through the tiny hole) and taking it outside to a far away land!
Not my most relaxing spa day
Day 187
Looking forward to the weekend soberā¦ and spider free!
Eeeeew, you just reminded me spider season is upon us. Thanks for the laugh though. You behaved exactly as I would have. My husband would have been the other guy in the sauna grateful for the other hero
Hey all, checking in on day 1182. I hope everybody has a good one!
@Mno I am very sorry for your loss
So Beautiful
@Mno so sorry for your loss my friend. Sending you healing hugs
@zzz I know you have it in you to fly again after your crash, higher than ever before. The power is yours to grab, donāt push it away!
@CATMANCAM Iām with you in spirit for a big declutter, clean and tidy session. I love decluttering. Be ruthless and enjoy how empowering it can be to get ridd of stuff.
@JennyH glad Iām not alone! As much as I love autumn, it would be so much better without spiders!
