92 days without alcohol.
My goal is to get a year under my belt (ODAAT) and then work on cannabis.
I think you’re doing great. The first 3 months with the change of routine were the hardest for me. Be kind to yourself. Treat yourself to little things that replace the alcohol. Keep going.
Good to hear you’re feeling better and you could enjoy the pantomime @Deelzebub
Have a nice sober weekend
Congratulations on each of your step stones I’m proud of all of you. Whoot whoot
Special congrats today to @Just_Laura on you 10 month.
Wow that’s amazing. Thank you for being here and sharing your journey with us. You are a great inspiration
And extra fireworks to @Soberbilly for checking in with us and on 600 days off weed and opiates. That’s a big number. Congratulations and thank you for being you!

I had a hard scary 24 hours, the worst in my life. Please let me stay sober.
Checking in at 1 week AF. Thanks to all of you and congratulations on your achievements no matter the length of time. They are all huge.
Day 6
Have a nice day ⚘
@mira_d thank you sweetheart. So glad that you are enjoying your work and volunteering time. Keep talking about the no more smoking – it will register and the will to quite will get stronger. We got your back when you want to give it a go
@dilettante wishing your daughter a wonderful Birthday and I am sure you will have a fabulous celebration for her. Hope you were able to get some shut eye and rest last night.
@trustybird so sorry for your loss Emilie. I am sorry for all the anxiety and unrest this has caused. No one would ever call you a monster. Sending you comfort to get through trying to make that call with your mom today.
@steve92 Grateful that you did check in. I know the anti social feeling can become overwhelmingly strong – know that we are here for you if you should need. Great work on protecting your sobriety!
@sunshine-girl OH Julia it is so lovely to see you on the check in thread. You have been missed and I am thrilled to see you not giving up on yourself. Keep fighting girl
@soberwalker OMG a 80’s party sounds fabulous—I do hope you have a marvelous time dancing! That highlight looks delicious – sure you enjoyed every bite Much love to you
@mrfantastik Way to go with your 2 weeks of sobriety.
@naomi I know that part of my sober journey was letting go of the friends that were not with me for my sober journey. They only liked me when I was drinking and found we had not much else in common. It is hard to find connections and friends as we get older (for me at least). As Mno mentioned, maybe look into other recovery groups in the area that are not religious based. Also – possibly look into meet up groups in your area. I found some great friends through knitting and hiking meet up groups. Alcoholism is a disease and you are not weak for not having an off-switch. I would say you are STRONG for being able to abstain completely.
@mindofsobermike Glad you are enjoying your work Mike. I know I did a lot of sleeping and needed the rest at the beginning of my sobriety journey. This is a great way to allow your body to heal properly. Once you get more energy maybe a fun group in the area to join would be a fun way to get out and meet new people.
@soberbilly So lovely to see you checking in Sober Buddy! 600 days is amazing – thank you for sharing your milestone with us
This made my heart smile! Grateful that the fear never materialized. So much love to you my friend
@njr9876 Congrats on your 2 weeks! So lovely that your friends are supportive and that you are feeling comfortable with your sober journey. The beginning months are hard with sugar cravings as your body is trying to replace all the sugar from alcohol that it had become accustomed to. Don’t be too hard on yourself about the sugar- the cravings do taper off. Keep going strong
@noshame how are you doing now with the anxiety? Great work on all your timers. Just keep pushing forward
@wakikki Oh love I am sorry to hear this. Grateful that you are sober and sending you strength to stay sober. I know your 2 years is coming up and that milestones can cause funny urges and thoughts. We got your back here – keep fighting for your right to live a healthy sober life
@shadowcopy Way to go with 1 week of sobriety Joel – this is amazing work. Keep going – it does get easier.
Checking in on Saturday morning
I am blessed to have a bit of energy today so i am rolling with it - going to try to finally get this house cleaned today - lol. It is a lovely feeling and i am thrilled to be sober on top of it. Off to get some work done… wishing everyone a wonderful addiction free day - sending you all so much love
Keep at it. We are here if you need a chat.
Yes, we are here. You can do this.
Back at end day 4
42 days. Christmas pressure is mounting, but feeling optimistic. Biggest danger is seeing my cousin, one of my best friends but a big drinker! Ive told him im not drinking and he has been hugely understanding so shouldnt be an issue! All the best to you all this season, and have a sober christmas!
My anxiety is better
I guess it was just morning blues
Thank you for asking jazz
Hope youre alright. Anything we can do to help?
I am, thank you. Just have to stay strong for my kids.
