Ahhh, I had cabin fever and got out to church and coffee. Working on some leads for my next life, already. Doesn’t take long once you start asking. It’s so good to be sober and starting to build a new life. I’m revisiting things I have given up due to work or drinking. Things are going to be ok.
More storms so it looks like a house pant and detective show afternoon.
Checking in. Today was good, I worked a lot, but I’m kind of behind schedule, so I will definitely have a very busy last few weeks of the month. Otherwise I worked out a bit and went for a run, I have a lot more energy physically than before, and I need to let it out now that I cannot numb it anymore. Also I eat a lot more, I’m always hungry, but I guess these things will get balanced out with time. I still get very sleepy by the end of the day, so I’m about to go to bed soon, but first I will read a bit.
Im a rugby and league fan, how about those days after the game where someone would try talk to you abou a game and you’d have little recollection of it
The worst when you wake up feeling awful and you remember your team lost, too. Just like mine did today to our biggest rivals… but tomorrow I’ll wake up sober so that’s the most important thing

Gave me a chuckle — glad you had a productive and restful time off – hope your first day back at work went smoothly. @ladybug1974 Great sober days Izzy. Sorry for the hard weekend. The nice weather and outdoor activities do make it harder to deal with the urges as our minds romanticize the addiction. Remember to play the tape forward, keep alternative drinks on hand so that you can enjoy a refreshing lemonade or La Croix for instance. Great work on finding a comfort zone to stay in. Keep fighting the good fight

Been a rough recovery from the surgery and i am hoping to start feeling some relief soon. Nothing that won’t work out with time and patience hopefully. Will be contacting my surgeon in the morning for some direction. I am ready to get this healing behind me already LOL and be back in my own bed / space. Although it is good that i am here so I can be here for my mom.
Just another day - hope everyone had a wonderful sober St Patrick’s Day.
