Checking in daily to maintain focus #65

Just checking in on 5 honestly having cravings but staying strong. I feel pretty pathetic seeing how far along most people are checking in. I know many struggled many times before getting that far though. Did some working out and still just craving food a lot for some sort of dopamine or sugar fix. Better than alcohol though. My body is just trying to heal. And drinking a lot more water than I was while drinking of course but still need to drink more. Just trying my best. Mentally up and down as suspected

Keep on trying Laine. It’s a process for all of us no matter how many days we have.

Checking in on Day 5 again here too! Congrats and hang in there, the cravings will go away eventually, yesterday was the day I was really tested but because I didn’t give in I was proud of myself today and that’s lifted the mood. Never feel pathetic for wanting to be sober because a sober you is always gonna be a better you and there ain’t nothing pathetic about that!

@BUTTERFLYMOOnwoman WWOW – that’s a great list Dana. Thank you for sharing with us. I do hope that you are feeling lighter and better today :hugs:
@danam56 oh man I’m sorry love – here if you need to process or vent. It is hard with long distance relationships for sure. Changing up friend groups and social activities when I became sober was hard. Sending you comforting vibes my friend. You are doing amazingly well in sobriety – I hope all else works out for you too
@mrsodh I know how you feel and it does feel weird being grateful when we seeing others without. I do believe you have been there for this mother and daughter and done all that you can do to help out during this difficult time. Grateful that they are continuing to get support from the community. I do think its ok to be grateful and cherish what you have, we never know what’s in store for us and have to appreciate the present moments. It is totally ok to feel the grief and at the same time feel grateful. Sending love your way
@acromouse Thanks Aga – I did get to enjoy the sunshine. Didn’t really get too far with the walk – made it a few houses and had to turn back. Baby steps. Hope your first day home without your husband went smoothly. :hugs:
@lile01 so lovely to hear from you Indi – great job on day 3. Glad you are being taken care of at the hospital. Take it easy friend. sending you love and comfort and many hugs :hugs:
@mrfantastik hope you heal quickly and well… glad to hear about your positive mindset. Lam your gif made me laugh
@lotusflower Hey Des – sending you hugs my friend – I hope all goes well with the lawyer meeting today. :hugs: you are doing a great job with your timers and being present for your kids.
@chevy55 hope you were able to find comfort from that ear pain – I know how annoying and uncomfortable that can be.
@cleanheart Taking it one day at a time is great thinking – we really can apply this to all aspects of our lives. Remember to breathe and take a time out when needed. 45 days and pushing through with great effort. :muscle:
@noshame You are doing great friend. Stacking up the days and now you know how you get nothing when you give into that craving (nothing good anyways – you do get regret, and blah feeling). You are crushing it with living honestly and working on your recovery :hugs: The damn adds and all these weed stores are insane. WE do not need that toxicity in our bodies – this is what I remind myself when I see one.

@suechu great work on double digits! Glad you were able to not get tempted today. Man I do hope that you are able to unload those asap and not have them in your presence. No need to tempt fate. Keep pushing forward friend :muscle:

@earnit So very sorry to read this Jene. I do hope that you find a connection or something that helps you and that you do not give up / give in. I have seen you pushing hard and working on your recovery for the past 103 days with great effort and determination. Don’t let you thoughts tell you otherwise. I don’t know a lot about your situation but do know you are dealing with a lot. It can’t be easy but I do hope that you are able to reach out for support in your area. I am here if you need to talk. Sending you love
@jennyh love the new routines. Lovely end to your day too – great work on 17 days Jenny!
@lainenicole96 You got that right – MANY restarts for me – we here have gone through the struggles and do know how intense the journey is (especially at the beginning). Nothing pathetic about it – you are showing strength my friend – by stacking up the days. By checking in when you feel cravings. By reaching out when you need support. Keep up the amazing work and stay strong. The cravings will not last :hugs:

all the amazing milestones – you guys are crushing it! :muscle: :tada:

Literally this. All over. California is bigger than the Uk. Texas is bigger than Germany. Alaska could cover Belarus, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania and most of Greece.

I actually remember saying to Dan and Lea when I was with em in Seattle “The sky here is so much bigger than Europe.” AND IT IS!! It’s fucking huge!!

92 days is amazing work. Sorry about the depression and anxiety. Are you able to talk to someone about this? For me, I try to talk it out or surround myself with something that will help increase my dopamine levels. Sending you comfort and positivity your way :hugs: you are not alone!

Well after 188 days i drank…im so disappointed in myself right now. I gotta get my head back in the game. I reset my clock back to 0 which hurt the most but I’m grateful i didnt fuck anything up or get into trouble, etc. Just have to reset and restart. I finally found an in person meeting about 20 mins from my house but thats not too bad. I live in a pretty rural area. I need a new sponsor. Mine is having a lot of health issues and she really doesnt have time to deal with me being a dumbass. Plus i want her to be able to heal. Shes been my sponsor for over 13 years. I had 12 years clean until last year i started drinking. Anyways, i havent been on here in awhile and i want to get re-engaged with you guys! Ive missed you all.
