Checking in, 7 days AF, 8 days without weed. Iā€™m feeling pretty good today. I slept okay and I had a meeting via Teams with my doctor and psych nurse. It was a good meeting, they are really helpful. Thank God I donā€™t have any cravings and Iā€™m confident that I can stay sober during the Holidays. Upcoming Xmas is gonna be hard because Iā€™m gonna be alone, kids are with their mother and this is the first Xmas in five years when Iā€™m spending the Xmas sober.

Itā€™s windy outside and really slippery because the temps are plus Celsius and the snow is melting away. So maybe the winter didnā€™t come yet. Just came from a walk, it felt really nice. Now Iā€™m gonna spend the rest of the day reading wonderful books.

Have a great sober day everyone! We got this!

This is on our news right now! Thereā€™s nothing good or marketable about alcohol full stop.

Day 71

Good Morning waking up on my first day off in 6 days while feeling like I just want to sleep, chill and rest up for work tomorrow in my mind Iā€™m telling myself to get up and get those 10,000 steps on the treadmill so I guess my mind is already made up then. Saturday night instead of calling for a lift I decided to walk for a little while on that walk thinking how at this moment in time Iā€™m on the right path and itā€™s a great feeling remember with everyday of sobriety we are only getting stronger physically and mentally so letā€™s keep improving as always wishing everyone the best in life and sobriety. Have a great week too all. PMA (Positive Mental Attitude) All Day! :v:t4:

@BrownGecko Boredom was a huge trigger for me. Keep yourself distracted. Netflix is a good option. Just beware the unexpected scenes that could be triggering. Stay connected here as often as you need(itā€™s all I did in the beginning). Thereā€™s also tons of recovery options online. I think thereā€™s still 24/7 AA zoom meetings if you search it. Or prerecorded ones on YouTube(I like watching celebrity speaker meetings). What I had to do for the first couple weeks was only go to and from work, making sure to take a straight route bc I had a talent for making any store ā€˜ā€˜on the wayā€™ā€™ to anywhere. No needless driving where the mind could wander and let intrusive thoughts in. Maybe not so much riding if this sounds familiar. Also, and maybe Iā€™m wrong, it almost reads as if thereā€™s alcohol in your home  Possibly the wife or kids? If so, I suggest getting it out of your reach. Enlist your boys to watch over it for now. Whether or not you told them youā€™ve quit, they know, and Iā€™m sure would be happy to help it continue. (Obviously disregard if this is not the case) Above all else, do whatever it takes! Donā€™t stop until you find something that works :muscle:

@Chevy55 Not sure if numbers are common ground(my 3 exes sucked at math ), but they sure make sense to me. Some are more esthetically pleasing than others. 365 is not one of them, but @Tragicfarinelli 333 today is pretty neat looking :sparkles: 325 is too actually

@StacyAnn Congrats on your week! :tada: Keep it up :+1:

Thanks for the share! Really eye opening read. Iā€™m definitely currently having this realization and didnt realize how insanely dangerous binge drinking can be. Hope youā€™re also holding strong in your recovery
