I love this. This is also my goal too! I need to also get back to swimming!!! That used to be my Therapy!!
Day 9 - Checking in, fighting a head cold, so being mindful of taking things slow! Still working and have a couple low impact plans tonight, but going to take a break from the gym today.
Snowy day here in my city! It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!
Hey all, checking in on day 1640. I hope everybody has a good one

Deleted yesterday’s romantic post.
I am a complicated person.
I freezed during work.
Feeling super unsuitable.
In this world.
Feels good the day after don’t it. I know it did for me on my first birthday without a drink.
Looking back; That’s when I knew I was going to make it.
Good for you man.
@Kareness your evening sounded lovely and relaxing.
How is your day starting off?
@Just_Laura my goodness that sounds like a super busy day and you got way more accomplished then you set out to do. I know it sucks when the original items on the list didn’t get done but remind yourself that you actually were busy all day and tackled many things that need attention first. We tend to set goals for ourselves (big or small) and then beat ourselves for not getting it done. Not thinking or congratulating ourselves for what we did accomplish or remembering that our original plan may have been unreasonable. Hope today is easier
@s_unrelax yummy custard! I love hot fresh custard. 25 days is amazing work . Glad to see you stacking up the days. I totally get the fear of taking on a new addiction while trying to leave another. Are you able to cheer gum or fiddle with something when you feel like smoking? Have you checked out Grumpy A-holes (quitting cigarettes/ nicotine products) (Part 2) thread? Many great ideas and tips here. ODAAT . I’m doing well - thanks for asking. Just chugging away trying to make it through the holidays.
@soberwalker love the pic and the imagery of the wings. Having the pool to yourself is my absolute favorite thing. Super excited for you …2 days and you’ll be plaster free and have a fully healed foot:heavy_heart_exclamation:
@Noshame it sucks being tired and having to push through. Hope you gain some energy today. This is when we have to stay in guard cause our addiction knows we are tired and may not resist as much. Remind yourself of how far you’ve come and that alcohol will offer no comfort. Keep fighting the good fight
Don’t let this discourage you. I know it sucks. You have just gone through a cycle and are getting back to feeling like you…you will be able to get you time and range back. Just remember tintake it slow and be gentle with yourself. Glad you got better sleep
It definitely is. You do what you feel will help you the most. Your mental state and sobriety are first priority. Maybe write out a pros and cons list to help you decide and see the benefits of each place?
Nothing sad about that…I was getting excited for you as I was reading . Absolutely love the smell and feel of clothes right out of the dryer.
@Refreshedperspective hope the head cold feels better soon. Sending healing vibes
@Juli1 sorry love …we do go through our ups and downs. I used to hate going to work cause the temp would always be insanely hot or cold. Never knew how to dress. Had a space heater and a small fan ready to use . You are suitable for this world. You are worthy! You are beautiful! Hope your day improves for you my friend. Don’t give up on your goals
Checking in on Tuesday morning
Didn’t sleep great and feeling a little sick with a migraine. The migraine could be the cause for the I’ll feeling. Don’t want to stay in bed so gonna attempt to move today. My phone calls may not get done today …will play by ear.
Wishing everyone a wonderful addiction free day - sending you all so much love
Thank you for being so nice for so many people here Jasmine
I will send some healing vibes your way
Thanks Claudia . Appreciate you and this community.
Day 10:
No shopping
No binge eating
No Grubhub
Double digits . Keep it going Sheena well done!
Love the picture. You are angelic. Hoping tomorrow is a true day of freedom. I wish you the best. Thank you so much for sharing your healing journey with us.
Ha ha, thank you Lam.
It was good and very needed to vent somewhere, so you where my victims
And thank you for that too!
Like us all you’re a complicated person in a complicated world. You’re a perfect fit Julia.
Thanks so much! Ive got this!
Not sad at all. My washer was down couple months. First drain then mechanical issue. When repairs done I was never so happy. When load of clothes drained and spun and came out almost dry I would run outside and yell to hubby “I love my washer!” Love the dishwasher too. Since I am expected to handle this domestic chore I want appliances that work and appreciate them.
Happy Laundering!
19months no alcohol today
I’m sick of caffeine and really need a cigg or a nic loszengs
Super stressful at work
220 days no nicotine
Day 10!
Wow, can’t believe it! Double digits and super motivated to go for 3 digits
Have a nice day today!
@Noshame hell yeah!!! 19 months is awesome work. Your brain is trying to trick you cause you are tired. You don’t need a cig at all. Try a lozenges or gum and push through
@Millie_1987 excellent work on your double digits . Keep it going strong
Hey all, sending greetings super day, started with running and being productive at work. Feeling calm, relaxed while filled with good energy. This is so much better than being in void. Everything is better than being in void!
The only stress a cigg (or any other form of nicotine) relieves is the stress exprienced from nicotine withdrawal. After 220 days of freedom all you will find is nausea, headache and dizziness, followed by an imediate reignition of your addiction! Don’t believe the hype and find another way to relieve your stress as nicotine won’t help, quite the opposite!
