Wow, gonna have to mull over that one a bit, great food for thought.

@Mtrav0040 I read all ur post. My original thought was 3 weeks might be too short for her understanding or forgiveness, but other posters have mentioned it is a long standing thing. I do agree any issues must be about the two people communicating, not a third party, ie, u canā€™t apologise for, answer for, etc, ur wife.

@Girlinterrupted
Sounds like u had a real insight into urself, hope that understanding brings some relief.

Day 74
Did some thing else where I panic that I have upset someone or someone now thinks less of me because of something I said. I know exactly where it comes from, my motherā€™s love was very conditional, I remember at around 7 years old her telling me I meant nothing to her anymore because I had upset her. And I watched her totally reject my sister because she fought back. Of course I became over-sensitive. But it gets so exhausting second-guessing myself all the time.

I used the debt snowball method:

List all of your debts, smallest to largest.

Make minimum payments on the rest, and attack the smallest debt with every available dollar. When that debt is paid, you take move to the next, using the minimum you were paying, plus the money you have from the debt you were paying.

Do this until you have paid every debt. With each debt retired, you have more money to attack the next debt.

Also, helps to have a written budget that you stick to. I was surprised at how much money used to just wander away, until we went all in on using a written budget.

My wife and I paid off 30K in credit cards, two cars, and we are just about done with our mortgage. Took about 5 years for everything except the mortgage. That took 12.

Good luck, and get after it!

I have no understanding of your reference, but Iā€™ll assume that itā€™s some dramatic toxicity. :roll_eyes::stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Thatā€™s my mom, sheā€™s like a poor version of Lucille Bluth. (Arrested Development)

I canā€™t claim this wisdom. I think that came from @Lionfish? Sheā€™s a good egg.

Day 486. Yesterday my therapist pushed me hard. Today, I pushed me hard, from wake-up to bedtime. Iā€™m spent. Absolutely nothing left in the tank. Not to fear though, I shouldnā€™t have to stay too far past my bedtime tonight for the rest of todayā€™s stuff! :tired_face:

  1. One more work day, followed by a 3 day weekend. Followed by 8 days of work followed by nearly 4 weeks of holidays yeah! Now thatā€™s something to look forward to. It will all be spent sober and clean. Wherever Iā€™ll go and wherever Iā€™ā€™ be. So much better to not live under the influence. Have a good day all! Love from Amsterdam and Fort Davis TX where I hope to return to soon.
